FAMILY : Alvaro and Calista (deceased)
========================================
FULLHISTORY: Merek was born to Alvaro and Calista on May 23, 1265 in a small village near the Amazon jungle. His tribe was a small group of hard working people who were simple in need and want but good to one another. His father was a hunter as were most of the men he grew up around; it was a tradition for the eldest son to be the provider for his family should the father ever fall. Being the eldest of three this responsibility feel upon him and as he grew he learned all that was needed for him to complete the task before him. His life was simple at first but as the world changed and strange people came by his village every now and then, so did he. The more he saw of these strangers the more questions he asked making him constantly curious about the world around him.
When he was young Merek dreamed about becoming an adventurer, but knew that he had a duty to fulfill at his home. He continued to do what was asked of him but by the time he came of age, his curiosity was in full force. After many nights of contemplation he finally got up enough courage to ask his father for permission to leave. His father wasn’t surprised but still took sometime to think about this, talking it over with his wife. His mother begged him not to go, warning him that the world was not always what we wanted it to be. Merek knew his mother’s words could be true, but he figured if he never tried it wouldn’t be a life worth living. His father granted him his which and saw him off with his blessing.
It was the first time in his life that he was on his own, and he was both afraid and excited. The freedom it brought was overwhelming but he had no idea what he would do or where he would go. He traveled through the jungle stopping here and there to rest and hunt for food, never really sleeping because he didn’t want to become the next meal for the animals that lay in the jungle. He traveled for days and soon he was out of the jungle and in Bolivia. It was beautiful and he asked himself why his people had never ventured out. The land was strange to him but the people welcomed him just the same, showing him how to adapt to this place. He knew he was lucky to have come upon them, h learned their langue and for a few months he was one of them. He lived as they did and even took to wearing the robes that they all wore which he thought were unpractical for men.
After his time there he felt it was time to press on and that he did for the next two years, going to paces like, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia and Venezuela. There he learned about the people there taking in all they would offer him. He learned their languages and customs hoping that all these things would help him when he finally reached his real destination Tenochtitlan. It was a city in the empire that he had heard about from all his journeys that of the Aztecs, who were supposed to be great people. He had longed to see a huge city and if all the rumors were true then he couldn’t wait to lay his eyes upon it. He was traveling again but this time to North America, and this journey would me much longer than the rest. He had already begun but was so exhausted from the day that he stopped that night to rest in the jungle. The people there told him stories of pale demons that took people in the night but thought of it as legends, like the ones his mother told him when he was disobedient.
He heard noises in the night and tried to stay awake but, sleep was calling to him and soon he was in his own dream world. He awoke to the feeling of coldness on his arms and neck, he looked up but only saw the pale skin he had heard described so many times in the last few days. He had thought it was all a lie but as he was raised from the ground with one hand by the demon he knew he had made a huge mistake. He felt his arm break under the grip of the demon and screamed out into the night hoping that someone would hear, but he knew they wouldn’t. He thought that was painful but when he felt his skin break and blood flow, the heat that spread through him was far worse. He screamed from the pain and hoped that it was not the god Toltec pulling him to death. The pain was so great that he soon wished for death but it did not come. He fainted from the experience sure that the demon would be the last thing he saw.
He awoke after what seemed like moments but when he looked at his attire and surroundings he knew that wasn’t that case. He was in a stone house, where he didn’t know but he had to get out of there, he didn’t care who had done this. He got up to leave and then he felt the burning, but this time not as strong. He looked for water but saw none, what is this place? he wondered as he took in everything he saw. He had never seen such grand things, in his life and it was then that his curiosity got the better of him. He did not have to wait long because after a moment in walked a man with a woman who was breath taking herself. “Ah so you have woken.” He said smiling and pushing the woman toward him. She fell into his arms and his instincts took over, he could see the blood flowing through her, smelled how sweet she was and before he knew it she was already dead. He had killed her with his own…mouth.
“What have you made me?” he asked scared of himself now more than he was the pale stranger. He looked at his own hand and saw that he could no longer call him that when he was almost the same color. Silence filled the room for a while and then he spoke telling Merek everything about what he had made him. He introduced himself as Lokai and that he had given him the gift of eternal life. He looked at the man confused he, was dead, but not dead this could take some time to understand. One thing he did learn was that all a vampire had was time, and that with a life as long as his there was no need to rush. It took a few days for him to truly understand but once he did, he couldn’t say that he was unhappy anymore. Lokai told him that they were close to where he was headed but he had a better plan that he wanted his help with.
The plan was to become Gods in a place where blood was endless…the city of the Aztecs. He explained their religion and the roles they would play and assured him that it would be very easy to fool the humans. He was all for the plan, the promise of more blood was more than enough to please him. It would be another week before they made their debut taking the entire empire by storm. They came during a ritual where they called upon the gods for protection and at the moment they called their names Merek and Lokai appeared in all their splendor. They were beautiful to them and for years they feasted upon the sacrifices that the humans provided them weekly and if a war broke out they got them daily. Over that time he learned that he had a certain talent with blood and from time to time he had fun torturing the humans before he killed the. The two of them were living the life but all good things must come to an end. They thought they were safe far away where no one would find them but one day, a large group of their kind came, the Volturi.
At that time Merek did not know who they were about he was about to learn faster than he did anything else. They came swiftly killing all the humans in their path until they had Merek and Lokai surrounded. Lokai was on his knees begging while he just stood there not knowing what to do. There were three men before him with an army of vampires who all looked like they were ready for the kill. “You have violated the law and for that you shall be punished to death.” He saw his friend still pleading but had no will to lower himself and do such a thing, he had not developed fear yet. He was pointed at and soon he felt that all eyes were on him. “I hear you have a talent, let us see,” said the man with log dark hair. He looked to his friend and he nodded so he did as he was told. “I will need someone to do it on.” He was provided a test dummy quickly and then he concentrated hard fearing that their life depended on it.
He saw the blood like it was in a tunnel and he stopped them all before they could go any further and forced all the blood out of the man’s body. The blood came like small rivers out of the body and the man smiled seeing the effect. He soon had to stop because it was weakening him; he let his arm fall and breathed slowly in and out. “Talented yes.” He said and turned away as they all huddled talking in a language he didn’t understand. It only took a moment but that was the longest moment of his life, “Death.” He said pointing at his only friend. Before he could do anything they were around him, breaking him up and all he could see was the fire and hear the screams. “You may be useful.” He said pausing, “Join us.” He said looking back at the group. “Never.” He hated them for this and there was no way he would ever forget what happened here. The man looked displeased but he really didn’t need or want anything from them “You have a pass but make another mistake and you will be next.” He said and just like that they left. It looked like no one had ever been there and he too left never looking back.
He lived the quiet life for a while traveling all over the world until he decided to settle in Thailand. It was quiet and he liked it there no one to bother him nothing that reminded him of home, did he even have one anymore. His life was now in a shack not far from a stream but for now he was at peace, but that peace only lasted so long. Over the years he’s seen the Volturi grow in numbers and this has only fueled his hatred…revenge is on the rise. Word of a powerful coven in America has reached his ears so he now sets out for Forks hoping that what he finds there will be the first step to bringing down the old administration.

RPSAMPLE: Valeria continued to look at Aro, trying to decide if she could talk to Aro about those things. He was wise and she knew he would more than likely know the best course to take. She suddenly felt like a child, even with all her years she was feeling lost now more than ever. She sighed and was thinking of reaching out to touch him; it was so much easier than trying to form words. Before she could a wind passed and brought with it a stench that she had only heard about. She turned and looked past Aro knowing the scent would lead her to the cause of the horrible stench.
He must have smelt it because he too turned and looked at the cause and she smiled happy to see it was nothing more than a girl. She was young, that she could tell from here but what she fought like was nothing she could guess. She had heard the stories of her kind; they looked like humans but could change form. It was interesting to her, but she did not know this girl and she really wasn’t the trusting type. Her code was kill first ask questions later, she was would have done that now were there not so many witnesses around.
She stared at the girl and she knew that she was aware of their presence just as she was aware of hers. There were many ways to go about this problem, but whatever she decided it would have to be quick and quiet. There was o need to cause a scene when the girl hadn't done anything yet. She was remaining calm and didn't want to be too quick about striking, she was still unknown. "Should I bring her to you?" she asked him speaking softly. She had thought of more final options, but she knew how he was about new species and didn't want to ruin the fun for him. She looked at the girl cautiously, trying to think how best to make her move.
She usually wasn't so impulsive but it had been a while since she got to take her frustrations out on something that breathed. She smiled at the thought of taking the girl as her new punching bag but decided against it. Again thinking of not making a scene, she sighed waiting for a reply from him. She knew he would be thinking of the best thing to do but her impatience was growing…fast.
