The supernatural beings of New Orleans, Louisiana do not like each other. For the most part, these creatures keep away from one another and co-exist peacefully. Small fights would take place now and again, but nothing too extreme...Not ever.

Humans, however, are liable to fear what they do not understand. Everyone does. When one police officer uncovers the truth about it all, he forms a top secret division of the police force: the Witch Hunters. It is more than just witches being hunted...It is all of the supernatural beings that exist. The unit has been in existance for well over a decade, but nothing has happened until Casey Blake (related to the very man who began the Blake Unit) takes action and begins a mass slaughter of any "alien" he can find.

The supernatural world is not quite aware that it is mere humans committing such crimes. The species are blaming one another for the murder of their own people. Vampires and half vampires have teamed up against the wereanimals and shapeshifters, fighting their own civil war among their own allies as the battles rage on. The vampires don't seem to see eye to eye with the halfs and the shifters and weres don't seem overly fond of one another, either.

The Witches are the only beings standing in neutral ground. They will aid anyone, and try to stay out of conflict as much as possible. There is one common enemy, however, that everyone agrees on: the Demons and Spirits. All supernatural beings are well on their way to destroying the very place we all exist in...A war among the supernatural can only mean horrible, terrible things for our world. Yet the humans continue on, killing unnoticed by the Beings whoa re too caught up in their own rivalries to see the true nemesis.
