~ about me :Miss Raea Greene is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She's kind, she's caring, she's the mother we all want...Except if you're a human, then you're kind of screwed if she's hungry. If this vampire's hungry you run for the hills. She'll talk to you, make you feel safe and sound RIGHT before she drinks you dry. Not pretty. If you ask why she's not a vegetarian, you'll get no reply. Some say it's just her instincts, some say her best friends rubbed off on her, but the real reason is that she lost a bit of her sanity.
Let's get back to the niceness. She's very protective over those she considers family, those in her coven are her family. Do not break her trust because you will not get it back. Astraea is the peacemaker in her family, she doesn't like fights and will never like fights. Do not ask her to fight you for no reason. Astraea is a human drinker but you can try to persuade her to drinking animals, though being a leader of a coven you need all the strength you can get, even though her friends say that she doesn't need to.

~ history :
Astraea is an odd name for a late 19th century girl isn't it? Well most don't think so. Astraea goes by Raea, which isn't so strange as it can be the nickname for Andrea. Astraea is the prime example of a 19th and 20th century female. She's quiet, she's shy, she's kind, she's loving and the first three reasons are NOT why people loved her, even though back then they were good reasons to. Raea was intelligent, gathering most of her knowledge from books in her father's study. She was also very charismatic, combine that with her intelligence and a conversation would never go into an awkward silence.
When she was seventeen she met her future husband, Daniel Greene. He was an aspiring actor, three years her senior. You could say it was love at first sight as after they met they were inseparable. They married when she was 21 and settled in New York City. Daniel's acting career was doing very well, for two people. In 1910 their first daughter Stella was born. Raea started teaching at the local elementary school until 1914 when the world went into CHAOS!
Daniel started working for the government by building the army's supplies while Raea continued her work at the elementary school. In 1918 the war was over and their family gained two members in those four years, four year old Vincent James and one year old Natalia. Then things went to shit. While Stella was out on a date the family's house was set on fire. Raea managed to escape the flames with Daniel but he ran back in to try and save the other two children. The house collapsed as Raea watched in horror. Her family was dead, her reason for living. Raea fainted then and there.
What happened next was a mystery as Raea doesn't talk about it much. When she awoke she was a vampire, at first she thought she died, but when she lost control and attacked a human in an alley she knew she was still alive. She was different, she didn't want to know what happened. Raea never went to find Stella either, she didn't want her daughter to see her like this. She felt it'd be better if she knew she was dead.
Raea never left America, she didn't want to. The plans to see the world that Daniel and her made seemed pointless now, if she couldn't see the world with Daniel then she wouldn't see it at all. It was years after the accident, after The Great Depression, World War II and the Civil Rights movement, that she met Miyuki and Cris. Her best friends and right hand ladies. She leads their coven, for the broken hearted, that means if you lost people, or worst your love, then you can join others who are searching or lost their love one way or another.

Damn if he had to do one more nighttime search and rescue mission again Anthony had a mind to quit! The girl he found, poor thing, had MPD and was a Level C patient. LEVEL C! She was nice enough and kind enough to have him carry her home on his shift but jeez if she could get out who knows who else could get out of that building!! The werecat shuddered at the thought and zipped his leather jacket, trapping more heat into his body. Some days he missed the warm jungles of Vietnam, sure it rained a lot but it was better than freezing your toes off, which Tony nearly did in tiger form.
For something that has a lot of fur you'd think it'd be able to stay warm, especially since the tiger can live in snow!
He looked around The Wild and saw that they didn't need him to get the place running for the night, so Tony waved once to his seating host and left, taking the keys to the cashier as well. Couldn't trust some of the people here, even those that worked for him.
He shivered once outside and started walking against the wind toward the restaurant he KNEW served the best meat in town. Full Moon. It was great, and because it served mostly meat, werecats loved to go there. He checked his watch and saw that he had plenty of time for dinner, and a nice one too. He smiled and opened the door to the restaurant, sighing as the warm air of the place penetrated his body.
Yea, it was cold.
The seating hostess looked rather flustered and Tony's ears picked up the sound of one of his fellow Wardens. What was her name? Cin? Eh he'll ask her later. He unzipped his jacket, letting a blue t-shirt show through. He also shaved off the goatee he was growing. It'd grow back, he didn't like how it was starting to look anyway. He also got tired of just trimming it and keeping it neat looking, that took a lot of work, and he needed to focus on his actual work now. He had to check the bracelets and see if those were functioning, he also had to do his Warden walk arounds and search and rescue missions.
If anybody needed a vacation around here it had to be the Wardens. Working their asses off only for the patients to hate their guts. He didn't mind it though, he'd rather save a life than have them freeze to death.
The hostess walked up to him and asked him how many were in his party, he just said he'd find a table and smiled at her. She nodded and smiled back, cheeks turning pink. Tony sometimes had that effect on people, smirk or smile and they'd think you were flirting.
Who's to say he wasn't?
He walked toward the back of the restaurant and spotted the werecat with the purple and blue streaks in her black hair. Yep, he saw her around. He walked back over to her and smirked, brown eyes staring into her hazel ones. "Hey Shrimp, this seat taken?"
What he was 6' 2"! Everyone was a shrimp!
