~ information about the coven:
This coven is led by a very old Vampire. He was made in the late 1700s. Voltaire is a vegetarian vampire who has a respect for the human world, a world he was once a part of before the curse. He has a natural hatred for himself, feeling out of place in the world of the living. He may be alive in a sense but his soul has long gone - or so he feels it has.
Voltaire doesn't like wild vampires. He knows that being a vampire isn't easy. He knows the pain of being cursed in such a way but he feels that one can control the thirst and make their lives good, or at least not damaging to others. Voltaire has been called "The Dark Angel", "The Angel of Death", and "The Angel of Mercy" because of his strange nature. Though he is a vegetarian he has from time to time broken his rule in order to give death to those who have desired it. It is a rare occurrence but he has granted death to those people who were old/ and or sick, waiting for their ships to sail them off to their maker.
Voltaire has killed wild vampires in the past, finding them indecent to walk among the living, succumbing to their curse, becoming nothing more than a plague - sucking the life out of the living. He sends out a warning to any wild vampire that he will destroy them if they insist on killing more than necessary, if they create a halfling child (half vampires) or if they try changing a human (inflicting them with the curse as well). He doesn't understand why the wild vampires continue to choose their life of "freedom" which in the end he sees it causes more restrictions on their lives and on any vampire, being feared by the masses. He doesn't understand why the continue to act like the demons that cursed them.
The Van Craven Coven is hesitant to interact with their wild vampire cousins. They are distant and often entangled in conflicts and wars with these vampires who threaten to waste precious life - the life the vegetarians wished they still had - by using them to ease their burning thirst.
If you are vampire that wants to commit to a life of vegetarianism, that wishes to help guard humans from the wild vampires, and destroy the vampires who threaten Innocent lives come join this coven.
