Set in the timeline of the events in the first book, SV 2.0 explores a new direction with a whole lot of changes from the original story of Twilight. The premise remains intact, as Bella moved to Forks to be with Charlie and let her mother and Phil go about as a newly-married couple. Her attraction towards Edward becomes as instant as Edward's desire to kill her.
It all took a different turn when Edward met a fellow 'vegetarian' vampire and slowly developed feelings for her, eventually entering in an official relationship with her. This, however, did not keep him away from Bella, as he remains to be fascinated with her, despite giving her a cold attitude. Without realizing, he was already falling in love with her. Bella, on the other hand, enters an in a somewhat complicated open relationship with childhood friend Jacob Black in order to keep herself from thinking about Edward. In a fateful night, however, Jacob is reunited with a former friend whom he developed feelings for when Bella was no longer around, resulting in a controversial one night stand.
A fateful accident brought about the revelation of secrets, forcing sides to be taken place. Edward, left to blame himself, vows to protect a different human, whilst Bella ran into the arms of Jacob after an attack from a Volturi guard sent by Aro. With the existence of the supernatural world now within her knowledge, she was now considered as a danger to the Cullens as this could create chaos between them and the Volturi.
Shifters are now on high alert as the death toll nearing Washington has increased with the attacker of Bella's being their primary suspect. Jacob had tasked himself to protect Bella at all cost, not knowing the other danger that loomed around someone he deeply cared about. But when they all come together with the desire to protect each of their loved ones, will it turn into an all-out war or an alliance against a greater enemy?
