SPECIES NAME: Vampires
APPEARANCE: Though there are many legends about the blood sucking creatures of the night; very few are considered particularly accurate. Here at the disorientated; vampires are frozen in the age that they were changed. They are exceptionally beautiful and sexually alluring—in contrast to some lore which makes them out to be bat like creatures, uglier than sin. However, the vampires here are comparable to Greek gods in attractiveness. They noticeably have red or yellow eyes depending on their diet*. Their canine teeth are also noticeably sharper but not enlarged, so one would have to be close to notice. Also, vampires do have reflection and do appear on film. Notably, vampires had diamond like skin. Some of the vampires sparkle as though their bodies are composed of thousands of diamonds; others simply shimmer like they’re a solid diamond, and their features will cause a glare when in the sun. It’s also worth while to note that while hungry, vampires eyes turn black; almost like a shark that has smelled the blood of a fish.
HISTORY: Historically, no one is quite sure when vampires first made an appearance on the scene. The more religious will state that Cain sipped the blood of his brother Abel and from then on became a creature of the night. Others say they are descendents of the more carnivorous and venomous creatures. However, the vampires made quick to make a name out of themselves. They have been around since the beginning of time almost. For the first half of their history, the vampires were very verbal about who they were and why people should let them be. The Romanian coven kept the laws of the land and for a while the vampires seemed to be ruling the world but a young vampire with high ambitious decided that for the success of the vampire life style they had to go into hiding, even though they’d been known for so long. This young vampire was Aro, and he and his coven came and over took the Romanian coven. There was a lot of bloodshed in the first few years of the change as those who knew and those who told were kill according to the Volturi’s law. Some of the vampires are still left but whether or not they like the new rule they won’t say.
Today, the Volturi is still in power. There are people in the world that would like to see that changed. Of course, until that is changed, there is no communication about being a vampire to a human. It would be wise just not to be anywhere near them. Most would suggest that one would not date a human without full intent to change them before telling them what you are—or you might find a visit from Aro’s men and it’s guaranteed they don’t want to just talk.
DIET: Vampire live solely on blood. They can eat human food and meat, but usually prefer meat raw and to avoid other food all together because their taste buds cannot taste it. Often times, vampires skip the whole ‘human food’ poise and just go for eating someone.
BABIES: Vampire women are completely infertile upon being bitten. Vampire males, on the other hand, are able to produce hybrid with human women as long as she does not have any shifter blood which would attack and kill the child immediately.

SPECIAL ABILITIES: When the moon is not full in the sky, the vampires are on the top of the food chain. They are inhumanly agile. Their strength and speed increases with the amount of blood that is in their system which makes newborns incredibly powerful until the remainder of their human blood is eaten away by their venom. Some vampires also have an additional power to their already stacked odds. There is always a reason behind why this power has occurred within said vampire, whether it be genetics or simply some habit in life that was strengthened in their ‘death’. As all of their abilities do, these must also have weaknesses. Not even the oldest vampires are completely immune to their own weaknesses, no matter how much they try.
*Sometimes vampires special abilities change their appearances.
NATURAL ENEMIES: Technically the only natural enemy of the vampire is a child of the moon. If you want to get deeper into thought, shifters are also locked in a bloody fight with the vampire species. It is not just them. It is also their own kind that they seem to be unable to stand. The vegetarians and the wild vampires seem to constantly get on each other’s nerves.
