Ok guys, so this week is a very exciting week for us here at the disorientated. We are changing things up, giving our site a make and changing the ideas of the site a little. Dont worry, it will still be twilight, but it will be change. Here are some of the things that are changing:
1. CANONS will be removed. We are going OC on TD, removing all cullens and any vampires, humans or shifters that orientated themselves around Forks. Im sorry for those canon lovers out there, I was one myself, but canons are hard to maintain and take a lot of time out of td staff time. The VOLTURI WILL STILL REMAIN, as well as a few others, such as the nomads and the DENALIS. If you would like to have you say on which canons stay and go, please pm me and i will CONSIDER them. It does not mean they will definitely stay.
2. We are CHANGING LOCATIONS. We are moving away from Forks and picking up all our threads and dumping them in a whole new place. We arent going to tell you where until we reopen the site, but lets just say its a whole lot more exciting than boring Forks. So you will just have to stay tuned to see. Dont worry about all your threads, they will be moved and placed in a board similar to those created already. Please continue to RP as usual.
3. The site skin is changing, its going to be quite different from this one, so please dont think you have the wrong site when you sign in on Wednesday.
They are just 2 of the many secrets we have in stall for you this week. So to tame some of the anxiousness you are all feeling, I thought I would write a little timeline of events so you know what is happening this week.
Saturday 30/10/10
RJ - Rivers account, was made to global moderator to help with new site transformation.
Old threads are being moved to archives
All canon titles are being removed from mini profiles
All coven titles are being removed from mini profiles
All job titles are being removed from mini profiles
Some Cullen canons and others have already been removed
Monday 1/11/10
Activity check closes - we know we said the 6th but now we are closing early to link in with the new site creation.
Tuesday 2/11/10
Site will be closed for an undefined amount of time, only being made available to moderators and admin to work on site and get it ready for you all. Please hop on and see if it is ready, I dont know how long it will take, so it could be done by the time you are on.
Please feel free to use the cbox during this time to chat with friends, while we update the system.
Wednesday 3/11/10
Site back to normal, everything running like clockwork again.
Ok thats all I have now guys. All I can say is please dont be scared by the changes we are making, yes they are huge, but they are to make TD more diverse, more accessible to others. To make it more appealing to the outside community and that means more members for you to play with.
Please stay with us, we value all the hard work you have done and we want to reward you for all your hard effort. Thanks again guys, TD loves you.
