she won't walk away, but she won't look back"[/center]

MYCBOXNAMEIS : delts
HOWDIDYOUFINDUS?: I created the site
IALSOPLAY: Delta Grace, Isaac Santiago, Esme Cullen, Hanako Kuroshio
========================================
MYNAMEIS : Allegra Mae Malhonette
CALLME : Ally, Mae
IAM : twenty four years old
BORNON : 14th March 1976
GENDER: female
ILIKE : girls
SPECIES : shapeshifter – arctic wolf
FUR COLOR : During winter, her fur is a pale snow white, thick and soft to ensure heat retention and optimum insulation. During the summer, her fur thins out and turns from the bright white to a soft cream, almost caramel like brown. This is due to the temperature but also to ensure camouflage.
========================================
MYTWIN : Lady GaGa
HOWTALL : height
IWEIGH : weight
MYHAIR : She has blonde hair on the most part, but due to her erratic behavior, she likes to change her hair color with dye and extensions. Her hair is thick and slightly curly. She also likes to change the length of her hair a lot. With the help of extensions, she can change it quite easily. Of course, when she shifts, the extensions are obliterated and as such she has to purchase them in bulk.
MYEYES : Her eyes are a deep sapphire blue. Carrying the trait from her fox heritage, her eyes are large and bright.
THEFACE : Allegra has a rounded heart shape face. She always piles on the makeup, dark eyes and bold colours to match her strange outfits. She has perfectly straight white teeth. Her hair is naturally a light blonde, yet she is always changing her hair colour to suit her mood. Sometimes she will just add extensions, other times she will go all the way and dye it some bold colour. This does not affect her shifter form however, in the winter, she will still shift to a pure white fox and during the summer her fur will change back to the light caramel brown to better hide in with its surroundings.
THEBODY : Allegra has a thin muscular build, but in no way is she a healthy person. Her years spent abusing alcohol and drugs, have not left her looking physically unwell, but it has left her looking a little scabby. Thanks to her shifting abilities, Allegra has been able to retain the physique of a 18 year old. If she was to stop shifting however, the results would be disastrous, not because of age, but because of physical abuse.
SPECIAL : Allegra has a few tattoos. Some on her arms, but others are well hidden.

ILOVE : 5+ likes
- Her daughter, even though she is dead. Allegra still cherishes the little girl and sometimes thinks Bailey is still around. She is often found talking to her as if she was really there.
- Drugs – it’s her escape from the reality, her being a beast, alone and with no one. It’s really quire explanatory.
- Alcohol – For the same reasons as the drugs, it helps her escape the realities of her life. Alcohol of course is easier obtained than the drugs, but it is by no means her chosen poison.
- Shifting – Allegra loves the sensation that is created whilst shifting. Sometimes she will often shift back and forward from human to fox just for the hell of it.
- Music – The more placid of her escapes, Allegra loves to turn up the pop music as high as she can and dance like a maniac until she collapses on the floor.
- Randomness – Allegra likes to do things that are random, uncommon and in most cases, not expected. She likes shocking people and having people stare at her for hours on end.
- Attention – As above, she acts out for the limelight. She loves being the focus of conversation and being stared at by spectators.
- Controlling men – After her father’s sexual abuse as a child, Allegra can’t stand any situation where a man is in control. She is not quite a feminist but especially when it comes to the bedroom, she will be the lady in charge.
- Vampires – She didn’t know for about 5 years into her shifting life, but vampires were the reason she existed. It was her purpose in life to kill them. In a way she obsessed about them so much, she loved them. On the other hand, she obsessed about killing them, so that would be considered a hate.
- How quickly the effects of alcohol and drugs wear off in her system. If she was human, she knew she could stay intoxicated for longer.
- Boring People – People who just sit around and do nothing all day, dress in boring greys and blacks, really dull people. Allegra just can’t stand these type of people. She loves to make life interesting and these people are not making it any easier for her. She dresses in a crazy unpredictable and peculiarly bright way to make herself stand out above the crowd.
- HATE5
- She wants to have more children, but refuses to let anyone really know this fact. She has quite a maternal instinct but because of the loss of her first child, it has sent her in the polar opposite direction.
- In the end, she actually really enjoyed the company her father and his mates provided her.
- Her father and his friends will one day find her and drag her back to Canada.
- Men in general – it’s not that she is scared of them, she just doesn’t trust them.
- Overdosing – of course with her shifter blood, the booze and drugs wear off way quicker than a human.
- She is small – in shifter form, she can maneuver around the place with such ease. She can squeeze into places most other shifters would not be able to reach.
- Loud Outgoing – Allegra is a very loud and outgoing person, when she is in human form that is. Of course, that is largely due to the point that she spends the vast majority of her time intoxicated, she is usually wild and uncontrollable. When she is in shifter form however, you find her nature completely reversed. She is incredibly shy and when around other shifters, she will be the one hiding behind the others.
- Heightened Smell – All shifters have the ability of heightened smell, but it is in the Arctic Fox’s nature to have super sensitive smell. It is this ability combined with the shifter gene that has given this species of shifter above average smell. She can track scents from miles away,
- Her aggression towards men – Allegra has a love hate relationship with men. She knows that not all men are like her father, but she could never really trust another man after her childhood. She always thought they were out to get her and for that, she finds it really hard to trust men, to get along with them and work cooperatively with men. It is one of the main reasons why she is not in a pack.
- Shy – As explained before, Allegra is a loud outgoing human but when she shifts into her fox form her personality takes a turn south and she is completely shy and coy. She does not have the spirit to hunt vampires as she does as a human, but still does it as her inherited instincts kick in. She is much more passive and tries to stay out of a fight as much as possible.
- Her addictions to drugs and alcohol – of course this has been explained before but these two substances are what help her get through the day and so she finds her self constantly intoxicated, this makes her more vulnerable to attack, but on the plus side, it makes her much more aggressive in her shifter form. It still makes it easier for others to prey on her because she has a slower reaction time and most likely shifts when it’s too late.
- Her Father – even though she is a shifter now and could easily take him down, Allegra couldn’t physically do it. As much as she hates what her father had done to her all those years ago, she loved him just as much. He is the one person that makes her weak, there is no way she could defend herself against him.
- Natural Instincts – Allegra’s shifter form plays a big role in her hunting abilities. An arctic fox usually only preyed on small mammals and other creatures. As such, Allegra usually only hunts the smaller, more fragile, most often female vampires. It is very unusual for her to willing seek out a muscled over grown male vampire for the sake of an attack, she would probably run and hide from them, unless she was forced by the vampire themselves to attack.

FULLHISTORY:
Her mother died during her birth. It was something never explained to her, but from an early age, Allegra knew that her family was different. When she was a child, she was truly free, little did she know it would be the freest she would ever feel. During the winter months, she would dance around with the arctic wolves, playing their little games and hiding in amongst the snow. Once again, she had no idea that eventually she would become one of them.
At the age of 8 Allegra had been in school for a year already. It was a small school, with only around 50 children. She had a few little friends, but her father never really allowed her to go around to their place to play after school. She was always kept indoors. If she wasn’t doing the small amount of homework she was given each week, her father would have her dolled up in beautiful dresses and aprons, cleaning the house and washing dishes. From an early age, Allegra had learnt to look after herself but it wasn’t until she had started school that her father actually made her do chores around the house. They weren’t just chores; it was everything a mother would basically do. Allegra would walk home from school and see other children’s mothers doing the same that she would do. At night, Allegra would always pray that she had a mother. She didn’t know why she was left behind with her father.
It was around the winter of 1985 that things really changed for Allegra. It was just before her 9th birthday. She was still being forced to do housework, serve her father’s friends beers and food on their poker nights, she was often on those nights, sent to bed without dinner. All of this ran as clockwork. It was one night though, after one of her father’s poker nights that things really hit a new low. She had just slipped into her night gown, on that was way too sexy for an 8 year old. She had just hoped into bed and settled down to sleep for the night. In her head she was going over all the things she had to do before sleeping, making sure the kitchen was perfect and spotless. If it wasn’t she would sure as hell know about it in the morning. It was just as she was closing her eyes to settle for the night, she heard the creek of her bedroom door open slightly. A small beam of light shot through and there in the light was a tall dark shadow that was her father. Her dad crept in quietly, pulled the covers back and rolled into bed with Allegra. She thought this was entirely weird for him to be doing. He had never shown any interest in Allegra before this time. She had always been the house maid, not a daughter. Allegra cringed and stiffed up completely when she felt how close her father was tucked up beside her. “Do you mind if I sleep in here with you tonight muffin? It fucking cold outside”. Allegra could smell the alcohol on her father’s breath as he spoke. She knew he was drunk; it was why he was acting so peculiarly.
She was used to the swearing, he did that even when he was sober, what she wasn’t used to though, was how his arms wrapped around her and held her close to his body. She had never experienced anything like this before. She had seen other children at school and their parents doing the same thing, but why her father? Why now? “Hey muffin, I know how we can keep warm tonight. Do you want to get warmer?” He questioned with a real slur to his voice. Allegra nodded her head, agreeing. Within seconds she could feel her father’s hands running up and down her small legs, lifting up her night gown inch by inch, the satin rubbing softly on her thighs and between his hands, she was starting to feel warmer already. She had no idea what her father was doing, or why he had suddenly taken such an interest in how she felt. Her father continued, pulling up her gown until he reached her underwear. Just as he had before, he inched the underwear down. At this stage, Allegra was completely scared and had no idea what her father was doing. But he had started to make her feel warmer, so she decided to let him continue. It got to the point that her father was now on top of her, holding her down as he smothered her.
Allegra had no idea what had happened, but to anyone from the outside looking in, she had just been raped by her own father. Allegra spent the rest of the night curled up in pain, her knees tucked up into her chest. It had hurt so much, but it had made her feel so warm. Her father spent the rest of the night, his arms wrapped around her firmly, he kept nudging her, speaking small little words of encouragement “that was fun wasn’t it”, “don’t you feel warmer now muffin?” Where did ‘muffin’ come from? Since this moment in time, she had always been referred to as ‘her’ ‘hey’ or ‘Allegra’. Why was he being so nice now? Allegra had no idea what her father was doing was wrong, so for weeks on end, she allowed her father to continue to keep her ‘warm’. Weeks turned into months, which turned into years and as Allegra grew older, she found her father ‘sharing’ her with his poker mates so that everyone could keep ‘warm’. This part really scared Allegra. She was older know and was able to comprehend a little more of what was happening. Her fathers friends would come up to her room one after the other and help themselves to her ‘warmth’. At the end of the night, her father would make her take a 2 hour bath, just to make sure she was clean and then he would have his turn.
This happened most weeks. Allegra started to get used to the cycle. However, her father had more plans for her. Out of fear that she would eventually tell someone, her father un-enrolled Allegra out of school just before she was the enter high school. The story was the he was moving her out to attend a bigger school, a better school off the island and on the mainland of Canada. Of course, Allegra was never informed of this move and instead she was sent to work in the house, wearing the same perfect dresses she had always worn, short, with little lace aprons. Only this time, her father and his friends would come around during the day as well. Often having their way with her and still making her do chores at the same time. Allegra couldn’t take it anymore and what she thought was love, was just her father using her for his own selfish pleasures, she had figured as much, but she had grown such an attachment to her father and his friends and how they treated her. It was routine for her, she loved them, more than her father would ever love her. At night, when she was alone, which wasn’t very often, Allegra would cry herself to sleep, curled up in a ball, still praying her mother had been here. She had figured things would have been different.
This monotonous routine continued all through Allegra’s high school life and up into her early adult hood. She was never allowed outdoors, unless it was at night and even then it was under the strict surveillance of her father’s watchful eye. Around the men, she was always quiet, meek, she never said a word or sound to any of them, unless they asked for it. Allegra had learned that unless she wanted to get hurt, she would keep her mouth shut. It was during her 19th year that Allegra started to feel quite sick; she would sleep a lot more, vomit constantly and had completely turned off any morsel of food that her father would provide for her. It was a few months later that her stomach started to grow, rounder and rounder the little bulge continued to develop. There was no way she was putting on weight, her father still fed her the same small scraps of food he always provided her. To say the least, she was under nourished, there was no way she was getting fat like him. It was at this time that her father sat her down and told her she was pregnant with a child. Who’s child, not even he could answer that with the amount of times she had slept with everyone but she was going to have a child. She was going to end up like her mother. At the realization of this Allegra clutched her father tightly, “I don’t want to die” She whispered lightly to him in a preemptive attempt to cover what she was saying. She didn’t want to die; she didn’t want to end up like her mother. Her dad held her tightly and then even pregnant, he continued to abuse her. It didn’t stop his friends either. They found it slightly enjoyable to be sleeping with a pregnant lady.
The thought of what they were doing to her baby terrified Allegra. During the next 5 months, Allegra grew very maternal, she continued with her daily chores including sleeping with whoever her father brought around. It was hard on her body and tired her out easier, but Allegra was able to survive full term, with absolutely no medical support. She had asked her father if she could go to the hospital so many times, but her father feared that she would tell them what had been happening to her and so he disallowed it. Allegra gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl in the darkness of the night. It had been quite painful and a long delivery at that, about 26 hours to be exact. But none of that mattered when she was able to hold her beautiful little girl in her arms. “Isn’t she beautiful” She spoke out to her father who had helped her deliver the child. “Yes muffin, she will make a great addition to our family” He smiled like a Cheshire cat, winking before he left the room. That night Allegra did not sleep. She analyzed her father’s response over and over in her mind. ‘A great addition to their family’ why had he been so happy about that? It was then that Allegra realized, he was going to do to this child, exactly what he had to Allegra. She would officially be part of the family by the age of 8. Allegra shivered and didn’t sleep a wink of sleep at all that night. She was trying to figure a way to get out. She needed to escape so that her beautiful little child would not face the same grim end as her. For most of her life, Allegra had been happy where she was, it was her life and she was prepared to put up with it for however long. But with another life involved, her own flesh and blood, there was no way she would let her own daughter go through this.
Allegra had named the child Bailey Rae. Allegra never used her last name for the child, it was simply Bailey Rae. Her father always argued the point that the child should have a last name, but Allegra always rebutted with the fact that when she knew who the father was, she would give her a last name and not until then. Allegra continued on with her routines, doing everything that she was asked of before, as well as caring for a newborn child. She found breast feeding hard, but her father insisted that the child drink her mother’s milk, it was the only way it was going to become healthy. It often left Allegra quite put out when her father would sit there and watch her breast feed her child, seeing her in pain, it seemed to make him happy. After the birth, her father continued to abuse her, but only him. The friends had been cut off for the time being, which Allegra was quite happy for the reprieve. However, her father would often ignore the crying of Bailey, just so he could have his way with Allegra.
When Bailey was just 2 months old, Allegra had decided it was time for her to leave. Nothing significant had happened; she just figured if she was going to make a run for it, it may as well be now. There was no point staying around the shack and being abused day in and day out, falling pregnant again and then having two children to care for. It was autumn, so it wasn’t cold yet, well really cold. She was sure that Bailey could survive the travel, she was strong, just like her father had wanted, too bad he would never see either of them again. Allegra packed a few dresses, it was all she had so if it meant freezing by winter, she would do it, just for the sake of Bailey. She also packed all the baby supplies, blankets and such into the small bag. There were more baby supplies than dresses, Allegra really didn’t care if she had to steal to make this work, she would give her child every chance at a better life, before she put herself. Allegra waited for one of her father’s poker nights, it was always at her place, but she figured, if she supplied them with enough alcohol to last a few hours, she would have enough time to escape. They would be too drunk by then to actually realize and be able to make some logical attempt to find her.
It was around midnight when she heard the loud chuckles from the men downstairs, she knew at this point that had had enough and in a few hours time, if her father allowed, they would be making their way up to her room. Allegra walked downstairs, Bailey in her arms and served the men a few more rounds of beers. She had had the bag stashed in the kitchen cupboards, her father never dared to enter the kitchen, it was a woman’s domain, and she stealthily collected her belongings, and crept out of the main large window. Luckily, Bailey was sound asleep in her mother’s arms, bundled up warm and tight. She ran, as fast as she possibly could in the condition she was in and made her way for the only exit off the small island. There was only one seaplane which accessed the island, it documented every travel it took so it wasn’t the safest option, but Allegra wasn’t ready to brave swimming the ocean across to the mainland with a 2 month old. She had decided to take the risk, once her father had found out it would be way too late.
Fortunately, Allegra was able to reach the one plane that rested in the towns harbor, it wasn’t booked for the night and she arranged travel. She had no money what so ever to offer him for the service, so she did the only thing she could do to repay him. In the backseat of the plane, Bailey tucked firmly in the front, Allegra slept with the pilot. By now, it meant nothing to her and it was just another man to her list. It wasn’t for him after all, it was for her baby, this time, it was worthwhile. The returned to the mainland, safely, planting her feet on firm ground, wet snow; it was comforting to know that she was already so far away from a life that had kept her a prisoner for so long. From that night on, Allegra pushed herself to keep moving, travelling from town to town as far away from her father as possible. She figured the more she moved, the less chance he would have of finding her.
It was the following winter however, that found Allegra’s life turn for the worse. Allegra had spent the last year travelling around, watching her little daughter grow, stealing food and other supplies just to make ends meet. She was not a skillful robber. She had the ability to sneak in undetected forage for the few things she needed and get out before anyone could notice. Of course, there was the odd time that she did get caught, but when they heard the story, she usually got away with it. Of course, moving from town to town, she didn’t build up the reputation most criminals did. However, it was not the law that caught up with her, it was the temperature. She herself was quite used to the torturous cold winters, Bailey on the other hand was not. She was lucky that she had survived the first winter when she was just a new born, but now, her blankets were thinner, some even had holes. As much as Allegra could steal, she couldn’t find enough supplies to keep her baby girl warm. Bailey died in the middle of winter, only 1 year old. Her mother held her for days. Huddled around a makeshift fire, Allegra refused to believe that her daughter, the reason she had left everything behind, had given up her life. Allegra couldn’t bring herself to burn her daughters corps. Instead she dug, she dug a hole in the snow and ice, through the hardened ground with shovel head, no handle, on the bank of a frozen river.
Age 21 – learns to shift – hunts based on the instinct of arctic wolf – hunting small animals for practice and then only the smaller of the vampires.
Going insane with the loss of her child at the age of 22, the stresses of shifting, not knowing exactly what was happening to her.
After this time, Allegra has completely lost any sense of self and remained in the shifted form of an arctic fox. She only shifted back to a human when she needed a hit of drugs. She could often steal alcohol from stores in her fox form. She was swift enough to get past any security that was present.
Finally coming across forks and seeing others like her, but wolves not foxes. She spent her time in the forest, watching them shift from form to form. Amazed at what they could do, Allegra decided to try shifting back to her human form.

RPSAMPLE:
Boredom, it was something quite foreign to Delta. For the past three or so years, it had seemed her life had been catapulted into a whirlwind of danger, trouble and haste. It seemed that she hadn’t even taken the time to breathe. Of course that wasn’t necessary these days, but Delta just wished she had time to relax. Twirling around the confines of her room in the Istinto mannor, Delta dreamt of the day she would marry Scott. She closed her eyes as she continued spinning, thinking of him dressed up so refined in the one of a kind suit she had designed for him, looking back at her as she walked down the small but cute little garden path at the back of the mannor. Her vision then moved to the right, where she then saw Rita. Delta’s throat closed up and hissed internally as her mind visualised the horrible woman. Delta’s eyes opened wide in shock and halted suddenly in the middle of the room. What if Rita did something to prevent the wedding from occurring? It wouldn’t be beyond her to do such a thing. Their first meeting wasn’t so reassuring and it was obvious that she didn’t want Delta in his life.
Heaven forbid she found out about Bethany. Thankfully she was away on a school trip all week. Maybe that was another reason why Delta was so bored? She didn’t have anyone, Scott was off with his mother, Bethany was away. Her little family had detached and fragmented and left her all on her lonesome. Delta refused to be defeated. She was a stubborn woman and refused to let anything truly get her down. No this day would be a day to relax, alone, get back to her roots and continue with things that she really had neglected since the creation of her wonderful family. Delta hurried around the room, trying to remember, remember where she put her little trove of treasures. It had been so long since she had seen them, with everything going on, memory was getting a little blurry. However, it was never forgotten. The large woven basket which held all of her musical treasures was always nestled under the head of her bed. Pressed right up against the wall, hopefully where no one would ever find.
Delta rolled down onto her stomach and pushed herself as she sandwiched between the floorboards and the base of the bed until all that were showing were her ankles and bare feet. Reaching the box was quite a challenge, even for her. She knew though, on occasion, Bethany had snuck into her room and knew the precise location of the box. Scott on the other hand, probably had no idea. It was her little time capsule, a vault of memories and creativity. Wriggling back out from under the bed, Delta grasped the dry wooden handles on both sides of the crate as she sat up and crossed her legs on the hardwood floors. Right on top of the box, the very first thing floating around, was a family portrait. Bethany. Scott and Delta, all smiling, all happy. Delta closed her eyes again and tried to remember when their family had been so happy. It was a time so long ago. A time when they will still fresh and new. Delta longed for that time again. She longed to feel the same happiness that had been captured in this photo.
Delta popped the photo up onto the edge of her bed. The rest of the box was a pile of books and trinkets, creativity and memories. This was the spot where she kept all of her music. Her hand written music, songs and scores, recordings and notes. She doubted Scott had even heard her really play her own music. She had told him she was musical, but she doubted that he really even payed any interest to that part of her life. As far as he was concerned he was the musical genius, he was the rock star in his human life. She supposed that once you reached that high of a status, you didn’t need to appreciate others music. She didn’t despise him for it, she loved him more than anything in the world. Delta knew that even the perfection of immortals had flaws, this was one of Scott’s. She had written so many songs, songs about him, about Bethany, about her life, her struggles. She flicked through just one of the books, every page filled with score and pencilled in lyrics. It was the most recent of her musical journals. ‘Lost without you’ the last of the songs she had actually written, was one when Scott had lost his memory. It was a sad song, but was probably one of the most emotional songs she had ever written. Once he returned however, once he proposed to her, the song changed its mood into a song that declared her love for him above anything else.
Delta traced her finger along the score, following the wave of notes which glided over the staff. Humming along to the tune and reading the lyrics in her head. She closed her eyes for a third time and imagined the life she could have had, alone. Life without Scott was really not worth living, she really would be lost without him. There was no way she was going to allow Rita to take control of their lives like she had planned. There had to be some way around this. There had to be something she could do, something inconspicuously that wouldn’t raise fire alarms in Scott’s mind. She feared that anything she did, that would push Rita away, would also push Scott away. It was a price she wasn’t willing to make, but it was one that had to be. Her mind was not in the right space now to make any form of decision, so for now, she would wait. She would wait until the right idea popped into her head. She needed something civil, something mature, and something that wouldn’t send Scott running off with his mother into the sunset. The thought of confronting her and in result them both terrified Delta to know end. She clutched the note book firm in her hands, making sure the pages wouldn’t rip, and flicked it across the room.
She pulled out the next item in the box. A small pink floral lace dress. She held the tiny, delicate item up in the air, slightly moth eaten, the small dress struck memories deep in Deltas mind. Those of her human life, those that others often forgot. The change of human to vampire often rids the mind of most human thought, but Delta had prepared, on the day she had last said goodbye to her family, to snag one piece of history that would never let her forget who she was, where she came from. The small pink dress was one that she wore as a 1 year old. The dress she wore when she was baptised. This dress, alone, was enough to remind her of her past, her family, where she came from, her roots, her belonging, her soul. Everything that was her before she was this thing, was contained right here in this little innocent item of baby clothing. Delta once again crunched the lace between her fingers and brought it up to her face, inhaling the stale smell of moths and vintage lace. The scent trailed through her senses, only enhancing the small sample of memories associated with the dress. Her mind instantly run to Hunter, her brother, of all things a true werewolf. Born siblings, created enemies, Delta still didn’t know how she felt about this new advance in her life. The dress however, made her want to rush over to his home and give him the strongest embrace she could manage.
Folding the dress up neatly, Delta placed it beside her crossed legs, patting it lightly like a small pet, loyal by her side. There were many other little trinkets as such, which she had gathered from her journeys around the world before settling in Forks, but there was only one item she wanted to find. Foraging through the deep crate, Delta finally found a small mp3 player hidden at the bottom. Of course, the smallest things always filter through to the bottom of the junk pile so it was only natural that she would find it there. This mp3 player was a backup, it was a store for all of her musical recordings. She had them also saved to her computer, but this mp3 player was her vault, it was safe and nothing could harm them, unless it was thrown into a bowl of water or something. No one knew where it was though so as far as she was concerned, it was as safe as being locked in a bank. Delta unwrapped the headphones and started to scroll through her list of personal recordings. One song, one that she had written a long time ago, one she had written, maybe 2 years ago, when her and Scott were just starting out. It was another love song, one that announced her love for him, how much she had been longing for something like this in her life. It was about the way he transformed her life, the way he made it complete, whole.
However, when she played it, the poppy tune that she had first transcribed to go along with it was not as compatible as she had first thought. Resigning the lyrics, they brought new meaning to her life. It was very up tempo, bouncy and rejoicing. Delta sat back and played the song a few times over, each time changing the tempo slightly, slowing down the track and tapping her hands to a new rhythm on the hard floors. She reached for the small rice shaker that was also in the crate and started shaking it to the new rhythm she was forming in her head. This song most definitely needed an update. Delta jumped up, singing her new rhythm, old lyrics and shaking the egg as she started to re-twirl around the room. She pulled the ear phones out of her ears and rushed over to the piano, playing only a few chords, she knew what to do from here. Her new music score untouched she started jotting down notes and melody lines. Similar to that of the old song, but with a more acoustic feel.
She had been learning guitar for some time now. Knowing how brilliant Scott was at guitar only made her want to learn it more, to impress him more than anything. However, he was a king on the electric guitar, Delta on the other hand, preferred the deep old world sound of the acoustic. It added dimensions to her piano music she could never have created before. It provided the high octaves with grounding and the bass notes strength. This song definitely called for a new guitar line. Delta rushed to her closet and pulled out the guitar she had been hiding quite mischievously away from Scott’s eyes.
“You give me love,
You give me light,”
She started singing at the top of her voice. Recording the piano, then guitar, then the beat with the shaker and finally the new harmony. She couldn’t wait to get onto her computer and play with the dynamics of the song. It was the most excited she had felt in months. The song had taken most of the day to record and probably another day or two to complete post recording, but Delta finally felt a nerve of strength chime through her body. Music was the key. Music was what gave her strength, its what helped her through the hard times and the good times. It was what she needed to get through this trouble and any other trouble that crossed her path. Delta jumped onto her bed, flipping open her laptop and started playing around with the recordings. The sun poured through the window and laced her bare back with a sheet of sparkles and stars as she played. The room lit up in a second with the sun. No lights were needed when there was a vampire around on a sunny day. Delta couldn’t remove the smile that was now secured on her face. She was so determined that nothing was going to get her down, not even Rita Cobin. She may have her son, but she will never have Delta’s fiancé. Although the same person, she was determined the two could be separated. She just needed the method. For now, she would leave it at that. Delta flipped over onto her back, her summer dress slightly riding up from all the fidgeting she had been doing in the excitement of it all. She pressed play on iTunes and decided to play aloud, all of her music she had written over the years. For once, she didn’t care if others heard it. There weren’t many in the house anyway, but finally, she felt free. She was free to do as she wanted, be who she wanted, with no consequence but those she formed for herself. She was finally free, reborn, rejuvenated, refreshed, alive.
(OCC: this is meant as a one post thread, I was bored with no internet and just decided to write things. Delta was being a pain and needed to voice herself so I had to. If anyone wants to reply, they are more than welcome to. I mean, I didn’t give you much to work off, but that’s just because of my intentions for this post. If you want, just read and enjoy, the chaotic mind of Delta Grace)
