FULLHISTORY:
Paris, France 1794.
Paris, France 1794.
Pauline Leclerc stood by the window looking out on a world she’d been forbidden to see for the last nine months. Her father had confined her to this beautiful house, what she would like to call a beautiful prison as she was forbidden any company but that of her family and husband Charles Leclerc who was away at war. Her brother Napoleon was at war as well leaving her practically alone as her sisters never bothered to come by, they were ashamed of her. Pauline and Charles didn’t get to have an official wedding because he was fighting but he’d promised her upon his return they would have a wedding to remember. She smiled looking toward the sea hoping to lay eyes on his face again, hoping that he would be home for the arrival of their child one she knew would be a son. She could feel it in her bones that he would be a little soldier and as she put her hand to her belly she felt a pain that made her cry out in agony. Water flowed from her like a river and with a crash she fell to the floor the maids rushing in to her aide.
Eighteen hours later Aiden Napoleon Leclerc was born weighing in at six pounds seven ounces snuggled close to the breasts of his mother. He lay in her arms and in that moment he became the most precious thing in her life. Aiden was spoiled from that day forward his uncle sent cloth from the best tailors in Paris for his clothing, and his father made sure their household wanted for nothing while he was away. Aiden was treated as if her were a little prince and as he grew older he earned that title as he learned to walk and talk under the watchful eye of his mother. They shared a special bond, he was her first child and she gave him all the love she could nursing him herself refusing to hire a wet-nurse for such things. Her family said she had to save her milk for the next child but she knew it may be years before that happened so she would only smile and remind them of how precious her child was. By the time he was three he ran about their town house as if he owned it all already ordering their servants about as if he were the master of the house. He was a very alert child and even then he could sense that his father was gone and was constantly asking about him to his mother’s dismay. All of that changed later that year when France had a victory by defeating Austria and the Treaty of Campoformio, was signed bringing an end to a very long war.
The end of that war brought home his father Charles and no one was happier to see him than Aiden those first few days they were inseparable. Aiden got a nice gray horse to learn to ride on as a gift from his father and his uncle, having no sons of his own visited him often teaching him sword fighting. Not long after his return Charles and Pauline were married fulfilling a dream that had been promised three years ago. Aiden now had a proper family and his mother was allowed to again roman the streets as a married woman who could no longer bring shame on her family. Things didn’t stay this peaceful forever soon it was time to fight for France and his father was called away to war in Ireland a place he’d never heard of. Still young though he learned all the things that mattered in the absence of his father and at the age of nine he was taken from his home and sent to Brienne-le-Chateau the same military school his uncle attended. Although his family was slowly rising to power in France Aiden wasn’t shown any type of leniency and this proved to be good for him. All his life he’d felt like he was special and when he arrived at this school he felt like he was just a number which took his ego down a few notches. Aiden didn’t like the feeling and so to set himself apart from the rest and made sure he was always the best no matter what the subject.
Friends weren’t necessary all he needed was the favor of his tutors which he earned by his unwillingness to settle for anything less than excellence. Reports of his achievements reached his family; they were proud of him and he received gifts in return for bringing honor to their line. He would spend years at school learning all that it took to be a great soldier and leader but he had the best tutor of all upon his graduation. During his time away many things had changed for him he was no longer the little prince but a young man who had to provide for his mother who was now husbandless. His father had died in Ireland of yellow fever seven years before and although he felt sadness he could hardly remember his father. When the gates closed behind him there stood his mother waiting to take him to the palace that now belonged to his uncle the Emperor of France. It seemed the fall of government had been swift and he’d followed all the battles from that at Italy to Egypt. Aiden made it his business to know how each one failed or succeed so when his time came he would be better learning from the mistakes of his predecessors. His mother smiled at the sight of him and hugged him tightly before getting into the carriage that speed off down the paved road. He hadn’t expected to see her as she was now a princess of Rome after marrying Prince Borghese a man he’d only heard of. He knew that the marriage was one of alliance and not to his mother’s choosing but that was the way it went when you’re family became the reigning power.
They arrived at the palace and entered the audience chamber of Napoleon the only man who was consistent in his and his mother’s life. “Uncle.” He said before bowing and then rising to his feet once he felt his hand on his shoulder. He smiled at him and they talked of school and the last few years of conspiracies against his reign but the man before him seemed unchanged. He was still the man who taught him to fight, the one who wrote to him while he was in school and now the one who would give him his first assignment. France was going to war with Russia and Napoleon wanted him in the fight he would be sent to Russia within a few years with the brigade and Aiden was more than happy to go to war. That was part of his life and he loved a good battle Aiden had been the top of his class so his fighting skills were strong enough to participate. His mother seemed upset by this news but he put her mind at ease promising that he would return but little did he know this would change him forever. In the meantime he watched as the army was increased and he spent most of his time training or talking strategy with his uncle learning from the best.
It had been two years since his graduation and he was now a man in need of a wife and who better to marry than Ophelia Marcil Mizzitti duchess of Savoy and Hapsburg princess. This move was decided by his uncle who was using their union to make his stake on the throne seem more legitimate by having a real royal in his family. She was a year older than him but Aiden was proud to have her as a wife as her beauty was legendary and he knew he wouldn’t have a problem having children. The young couple seemed happy and as a wedding gift they were given a Chateau just outside of Paris more luxurious than his previous home. The home was set up beautifully within months Ophelia was pregnant and Aiden was going off to war. He bide farewell to the women in his life both mother and wife then departed for Russia feeling more than confident in their battle plans. When they arrived they fought hard Aiden managed to survive the first round of skirmishes with nothing more than what seemed like a gash. The medic treated this wound but it never seemed to close even as the season changed to winter but still he pressed on knowing he was needed. In that last battle he fell to a deadly wound that should have killed him; his uncle stood by his side all through the night until he ceased to breath. That night the moon rose high in the sky and he breathed again alone in a dark room a sheet covering his body and he felt a rippling electricity go through him.
Before he could scream from the pain he changed into an animal a dark beast that would have scared him if he saw it. He was scared but happy to be alive wondering where this new sense of power had come from and spent the rest of the night stretching his legs happy to be alive. Aiden watched from the mountains as the bodies lined the path that led to Moscow that battle he’d just been in hours ago. His uncle had failed, but Aiden knew this wasn’t then end for him he still had much to live for he could only hope word of his death hadn’t reached France. In his wolf form he snuck aboard a ship heading back to France and when he returned there the first place he went to was his mother’s home in Paris. There she was sitting by the window looking older than the last time he’d seen her which was years ago but she recognized him immediately. “I thought you were dead!” she screamed pressing her head to his chest and wrapping him in her arms. “I am very much alive,” he said smiling down at her, “Where is Ophelia and our child?” he asked her and saw the sad look in her eyes. “She is at your home, but the baby was stillborn.” She said looking down knowing the misery of losing a child. He released himself from her grip and she touched his face feeling his misery, “You can try again you are young.” He nodded at her and again held her close knowing that he could no longer be around her being the way he was, “Goodbye mother.” He kissed her cheek and then left her house heading for his own to reclaim his wife.
When he entered the doors all the servants seemed to turn white upon seeing his face but did not disobey his orders. He went to her room and found her in bed with the curtains drawn around her, “Dearest.” He said and she sat up looking though the sheer curtains at him. “Go away ghost don’t torment me,” She said before turning her back on him. Aiden went to her side and put his hand in hers so that she could feel that he was real, “Love I’ve come to take you away now come on.” He said grabbing her in his arms and forcing her to meet his gaze. “They told me you were dead.” She said tears running down her eyes. “I thought I was for a minute but I’m here for you.” He said putting on her hood and looking out the window to see if the carriage was ready. He’d seen to it that her things were ready and he would be taking her to safety in the only place he knew Ireland. His father had been a great general there and he still had friends he could count on to give them solace. He carried her down the marble staircase and to the carriage their baggage loaded and ready for the journey. The ride to the docks was quiet but he was just glad to have her with him France was in danger and he wouldn’t have her here where anything could happen to her he had to protect his family. The ship ride took two months enough time for the both of them to get used to their new way of life that of children of the moon. Luckily for them they didn’t have to endure another full moon until a month after they were settled in a manor in Ireland.
Ophelia loved having the power just as he did there was a sort of freedom in this new life they never had in their old one. He checked in with his mother and Uncle often especially when he was held at Elba and hadn’t forgotten his old family. His uncle asked him for help and he said he would aide him so again he was on the move helping to secure the escape of Napoleon from that island. Opehlia was again pregnant and this time he was sure it would be fine he left her in the care of soldier who’d served with his father. “I’ll be back in two months time.’ He told her kissing her deeply and then taking off like a thief in the night. Aiden was back in France within a month and getting an army together for the return of Napoleon and when he arrived on the shores Aiden with the troops greeted him as a ruler should be received screaming, “Vive L'Empereur!” They hugged in greeting and marched on Paris taking back the city and laughing as Louis XVIII fled. He was asked to stay for the real battle but he declined knowing he had to return to his wife and child. His uncle let him go in peace and he returned to Ireland to see everything he held dear was lost. When he got to his home the soldiers were still there but the new they bores tore his heart apart. Ophelia had been found dead in the hills no murderer had been named but Aiden knew he could get to the bottom of it. He went to her gave leaving roses and his heart behind now al he had was his quest for vengeance.
That week he went searching through the woods using her scent to track the way she’d gone and caught the scent of who he knew was the killer. He put the scent in his memory and spent the rest of his time searching for the owner until he came across a child that seemed to have the scent all over him. Aiden looked at him his eyes cold with anger and he didn’t even ask questions before taking the child by the neck and proceeding to choke the life out of him. This was only the first step he would find the killer as well and as the child screamed and struggled he heard nothing except his own thoughts of vengeance. The out of nowhere he read something emerged from the trees running toward him and that was the scent he’d been looking for. Aiden dropped the boy to the ground and turned to face his enemy changing form for the fight. The beast was strong but he was better and soon it was all over he was the victor and watched cold heartedly as the boy clung to the dead body which turned back into its human form. He could see it was a woman and smiled thinking that a woman had given him this much grief but now she was dead and he could feel at ease. He looked down at the child and let his smile fall wondering how it felt to watch your parent die. “You know she deserved everything she got.” He said bending down so that he and the boy could be eye to eye. “She killed someone very dear to me as I’ve now done to you.” He put his hand out and ruffled his hair thinking about how he too could’ve had a son had it not been for that woman. “When you’re older you’ll understand and if you’re still mad come find me.” He threw a cloth with his family crest on it to him and turned his back on them both knowing that this was only the beginning of a battle he was looking forward to.

RPSAMPLE: “Who…who are you?”
Those words caught him off guard but Vik should have known from the way she was looking at him that his presence wasn’t wanted. He wondered why she was reacting to him this way, it was as if she didn’t know him and that’s exactly how she’s acting. Her stance was that of fighting, a low crouch and she was hissing at him…hissing! The way her body moved showed that she was on the offensive and she actually looked scared of him his feelings were hurt. “Delta it’s me…” he said putting his hands up so that she could se he meant no harm. Vik looked around him wondering how such a day could have turned out this way, his past and present meeting for the umpteenth time this week. First he runs into Lucy at work and now he finds Delta here but she doesn’t remember him. His eyes searched hers for some kind of understanding but he could see none. He edged closer to her hoping that she wouldn’t; lash out at him, he hadn’t had much experience with fighting and he didn’t want to. “I’m Viktor.” He said taking a few steps closer to her his hands still where she could see them. “Viktor Eaton, we met here once a while ago do you remember?” he asked feeling a little more at ease now that he’d explained things to her.
Things were different between the two of them now and he knew it but it was a good thing. Before he was blinded by the rules of reality or what he thought reality was and now he sees you can never be sure what is fact and fiction. A year ago he couldn’t make sense of what he saw in the forest when he met her but now that they were the same he could see things in a new light. Vik was now immortal, he would live forever just like she would did it not make sense to try to find some semblance of happiness in that time. “It has been what a year since we’ve seen once another?” he asked her knowing the answer already. It seemed he did nothing but count the days since their meeting because Delta left such an impression on him. He would never forget seeing her as the raven haired woman who killed that deer with such skill. “We sat here and I took your picture see.” He reached into his back pocket and pulled out his wallet. There within the folds he pulled out one of the pictures he took of her at this lake right around twilight. The way the light hit her in this picture was perfect and that was why he kept it with him at all times to remember her as she was.
The way he felt when he was around her still hadn’t changed after all this time and he couldn’t help but wonder why she had such a hold on him. “A lot has changed since we last met mainly me, I’m like you now.” He said hoping she would see that it was him. He still remembered his turning how he had been seduced by a girl thinking he was doing something nice and ended up being dinner. Alix had been nice and she was a good teacher but she wanted him to be her mate and he just didn’t feel for her they way she felt for him. Sure she was beautiful but any woman could be superficially beautiful he wanted a woman whose beauty shone from the inside. That may be why he was so attracted to Delta she just seemed to emit positive energy there was just a glow around her. Even now as she looked at him with fear filled eyes he could see her light and wanted so much to feel part of it. “After we met stayed in Forks for a while but went back to Washington to settle some things with my family.” He said to her so that she would know he hadn’t just disappeared. “My father was sick and I just wanted to make sure he would be alright.” Vik thought back to seeing his father on that hospital bed and sighed knowing that he would never be there now.
He realized he had been rambling on now giving her time to reply to any of the things he was saying to her. “As I’ve said I missed you and have thought of only you since that day.” He took a seat beside her and rested his hands on his knees knowing if he could sweat he would be. So many times he thought of this day and here he was acting like a nervous wreck in front of his ideal woman, way to play it smooth. “I only wanted to see you, hear your voice, maybe catch another deer?” He said smiling at her and hoping she found his joke humorous as well. She seemed to have so many scents on her that he could hardly separate one from the other but he wasn’t that great of a tracker nor did he have anyone to teach him. After his dismissal of her feelings Alix didn’t want to be around him anymore and rather than stay and be miserable he left yet it seems something keeps bring him back here. His thoughts pulled away from himself as he looked at Delta who still hadn’t uttered a word. Was she mad at him? Did she still not believe he was himself? “You do believe me don’t you?” he asked her tuning so that they were now eye to eye.
“Enough of me, tell me about you. “Is everything well here in Forks?” he asked looking about as if something would jump from the trees. But this was Forks and although it may seem harmless things go bump in the day and night. Vik herd stores from others of his kind about these so called werewolves that lived La Push but he hadn’t encountered any so far. At that moment it didn’t matter all that matter was that he was here now with Delta if only she could remember him. Please remember me. He thought as he closed his eyes and waited for her response.
