HOWTALL : 5'2"
IWEIGH : 129
MYHAIR : Esme has a head of thick, beautiful, curling, orange-red hair that rests neatly on her shoulders. It is often to see her hair out, sitting perfectly, like the strongest of hair spray was holding it in place.
MYEYES : Her eyes shine a sparkling golden yellow when she is completely satisfied. When she is hungry, her eyes grow a deep chocolate brown, almost black but she tries very hard to ensure she never reaches that level of hunger.
THEFACE : She is not the most beautiful or the most youthful of vampires. Being turned at the age of 26, her body froze at that time age and her beauty did magnify, but not to an extent of younger turned vampires. Her face is quite round, her skin is pale despite looking quite warm with a tint of yellow. Her lips a warm pinkish red frame a set of perfectly straight pearling teeth. Her lips are large and one of the most defining features on her face. Her cheek bones are not completely defined, unless she is carrying a big cheerful smile. A sight that is commonly seen on this beautiful vampires face.
THEBODY : Esme is quite short. For a grown woman, she is not the smallest of creatures, nothing like the build of Alice, but her body is still in perfect proportion. Being changed to a vampire so soon after giving birth meant that Esme has always been a lot rounder than many of the other vampires. This resulted in her having wider hips and larger breasts than she would have if she hadn’t recently given birth. However she feels it suits her and it gives her a natural mothering look.
SPECIAL : No special features
ABOUTME :
Seeing as she is married to the most handsome man on the face of the earth, outsiders (especially women) envy Esme. Sometimes they assume she is a gold digger or that her marriage is just for show. Esme completely despises anyone that jumps to these conclusions. Of course she always gives them the benefit of the doubt. Its just in her caring nature to forgive and forget. Anyone who talks to her for even a minute immediately abandons those ideas.
Even though she looks only 26 years old, Esme is one of the most motherly figures you can think of. She is genuinely interested in those she seeks conversation with and will always offer a small but strong shoulder to cry on.She is also a very sweet, kind hearted soul. She is one of the more responsible members in the family, always weighing up the positive and negatives of every situation. In most cases, she will make the right decision, with Carlisle by her side, his knowledge encourages that as a family their decisions are always spot on.
She brought her ability to love passionately along in her new life, a quality reserved for her family. Her love for Carlisle is nothing short of pure devotion, he makes her complete. The rest of her adopted children complete her dream view of a family. Whenever they get separated from each other, Esme's frozen heart is broken. She fears for them, wonders what they are up to, she is completely lost until they return safely home. She tries not to let on exactly how much she loves them, but with Edward around, thats a bullet a little to hard to dodge.

ILOVE : 5+ likes
- Carlisle - She always has, even from the first time they met. She was only 15 and broke her leg but she still felt an infinitive connection to the man. It wasn't until she was older that her dreams of him came true and now they are forever together. The perfect couple.
- Her Family - After Carlisle, there are no others Esme loves more than her family. Although she worries constantly about them, Esme only wants them to be happy and life their lives to the fullest. No matter what happens she would always look out for them.
- Design - In her spare time, Esme loves nothing more than to study the prospects of interior design. She has been fortunate enough to extend her knowledge into practical application and has been able to decorate every house owned by the Cullens.
- Caring for others - Its not necessarily something she loves, but its something she does unconsciously, without thinking. She has the ability to love unconditionally and lets face it, who wouldn't love being happy and caring all the time.
- Reading - In her spare time, Esme loves nothing more than to read books. She finds the knowledge within them very interesting and hopes that every piece she learns from she will be able to apply in a real life situation one day.
- Seeing her family suffer - the family orientated woman cant stand to watch her children or her husband suffer any pain, emotional or physical. It is her one weakness and would almost do anything to ensure their safety.
- Conflict - Esme hates any form of fighting, although she is very protective and would do anything to defend her family, this includes fighting. In fact it would be one of the only cases where she would stand up to fight. Carlisle tries to protect her but she is sure that he knows with her experience that she is more than capable of protecting herself.
- Impatience - Esme is usually quite on time and up to date with everything. Even though others shouldn't have to worry about Esme forgetting to do something, it annoys her to no end.
- Ignorance - Everyone has their own problems and anyone that thinks they are above others is wrong. Esme likes to think of everyone as equal, although the world puts a huge emphasis on power. She despises those who like to think they are above others and enforce their assumed 'power' to make others life miserable.
- The wild vampire lifestyle - Esme doesn't hate wild vampires, she is simply not that shallow. She does however, disagree with the hunting of humans. Being a vegetarian herself, she knows that their are other conventional ways of satisfying the thirst. It may not be as enjoyable or as delectable as human blood but she is convinced that vegetarian hunting is the most humane lifestyle for any vampire.
- Is worried that Jacob will eventually steal Bella's heart and leave Edward alone again. It would break his heart and Esme couldn't even imagine what he would do if that fear became a reality.
- She wishes she had more ALONE time with Carlisle, like they used to before they adopted the entire family. Sometimes she wishes that they would leave for a couple of months but then realizes how much she would miss them.
- The Volturi - isn't everyone? The Cullen's however, have a stronger fear of them. The Volturi know way too much about them and the gifts they posses. The knowledge they have is more than enough for them to turn on the Cullen's and destroy them, even if the Volturi try to appear harmless and righteous and also a strong friend of Carlisle's. It still worries Esme the extend that they will go.
- Wolves - she knows that with Bella and Jacobs relationship, the wolves could easily turn. With any rift in the pair, the Cullen's could easily turn from friend to prey.
- The unknown - As much as Carlisle knows about the immortal realm, Esme can't help but fear that there are other kinds of beings out there. It has already been prooved the shape shifters world and others, Esme can't help but think what if the creatures from her story books over 200 years ago, were real and existing in around them. She hates not knowing the capability the world has and as such she is always hesitant.
- Carlisle - he is her rock. He is the strength from inside of her. She is very reliant on him. If she didn't have him around, Esme would be completely lost.
- Her family - A girl is only as strong as the people she surrounds herself with. Esme has ensured that her family is strong and a group of people she can rely on at all times. She could trust them with anything and essentially already does with the varying powers possessed by each member.
- Friendly People - when people are friendly to her, it makes her life that much easier. When around more friendly people, Esme feels she can truly be herself, exposed and not be judged.
- Her power - Esme's ability to love unconditionally has its up sides. She is a more understanding and more tolerable woman because of it. From her experience, she will listen to any story and number of different explanations and never judge any individual on their portrayal. She considers every possibility a valid point, although some more than others. She hates to make others feel unloved, unimportant and insignificant. An ego boost for everyone else, Esme's gift is definitely a strength.
- Decision making - Esme's consideration of others needs, their thoughts and feelings enables her to effectively make accurate decisions. There is never really a time where her ideas or points of view are wrongs, especially when Alice, Edward and Carlisle are around.
- Her favoritism of Edward - He holds a special place in her heart, being her first adopted 'son' in the family. As much as she loves the others, Esme can't help but feel a deep bias towards Edward, Bella and now Renesmee.
- Politeness - Esme was brought up in a family where she was taught the up most respect for others. She has always retained the majority of the manners she learned in her childhood. This includes not talking while others are. This means that she is usually forgotten about and lets others do the talking for her when in reality she has just as many valid points as others.
- Obsessive - Esme is very obsessive over the safety of her family. Her worry and stress shows and she can't help about it sometimes. She is sure that others get sick of hearing about the problems she has concerned over another member in the family. She knows they just listen because they love her, but it is an impulsive action, she cant help but worry and care.
- Dwells on the past - Esme can't stop thinking about what happened whilst she was human, she remembers alot about her human life and often wonders if she had done something different she would probably not be where she is today. This leaves her dwelling in the past and constantly lost in thought.
- Her family and Carlisle - Anyone that put her family in danger, would have control over her. She would do anything, absolutely anything to ensure their safety.

She was an outcast in her own family, but she sees it now as a way of growing mentally stronger.
THESIBLINGS : No siblings
OTHERHALF :
- Charles Platt - her abusive, inconsiderate husband. Esme was basically pushed into the marriage by her parents but she never truly held a deep grudge for their instinctual ways. - Carlisle - her soul mate, they are two halves to a whole. One can't survive without the other. Esme looks up to Carlisle for support, strength and guidance. He is the only person she completely trusts. Even her children can be slightly untrustworthy, but she still loves them. THEKIDS : [/li][li]
[/li][li]Edward Anthony Cullen - Edward was with Carlisle before Esme. It is he that she feels the greatest connection with. He has been with them through the good times and the bad and although sometimes he felt like the third wheel, Esme and Carlisle always tried their hardest to make Edward feel like he was as much a part of group as the couple.
[/li][li]Bella Marie Cullen - Bella was a welcomed addition to the family. When Edward had finally found his soul mate, Esme couldn't be any more happy. She loved the fact that he was finally at peace and had someone he could confide in completely. Bella is such a lovely girl and when she became one of us, she never changed, her beauty, sincere nature and determined attitude still swayed strong.
[/li][li]Jasper Whitlock Hale - Jasper is the silent type in the family. He is strong willed and knows how to have a good time, but Esme also sees the softer quieter more independent side. Alice brings out so much more personality in Jasper, but when they are alone, Esme enjoys having meaningful conversations with him.
[/li][li]Alice Mary Cullen - Alice is the most adorable daughter a woman could ever have. She is very level headed and responsible. She reminds Esme a lot of herself. Alice is an infectious personality and as such as inflicted alot of her passions onto Esme. Esme's passion for design extends into Alice's passion for clothes. Esme knows the two have a strong connection and knows that although Alice was one of the last to join the coven, hopefully she will stay with them throughout any obstacle.
[/li][li]Emmett McCarty Cullen - Emmett is the big kid of the family. Esme loves nothing more then playing around and goofing off with the big boy. He is constantly antagonizing her and rambling jokes when he is not off interfering with one of the other Cullens. Esme tries to get her own back but knows in comparison to the head joker, she is no competition. As such the two share a playful bond, it is great to have someone around who will lighten the mood.
[/li][li]Rosalie Lillian Hale - Rose is a little bit more hostile then the rest of the Cullens. She is generally a little over critical and quick to jump to conclusions. She is quite hot headed and quick to act. Even after all of this, Esme still loves her because she is herself, individual, like ever other of her children. Rose also has a deep emotional side as well and Esme is constantly trying to hammer the barriers to learn more about her. When Esme makes these connections with her, she feels the closest to her.
[/li][li]Renesemee Carlie Cullen - The most charming of little girls, Renesmee is a true gift from heaven. Esme treasures the girl as much as everyone else. She is irresistible and Esme can't help but try to steal her away on occasions to spend alone time with grandma.
========================================
FULLHISTORY: Esme Anne Platt was born on September 3rd 1895, in Columbus, Ohio, to parents William and Ophelia Platt. She was born into fairly well off family, her future was planned for her before she was even born. Her childhood was spent, playing around with all the finer luxuries of life. They lived on a farm, that produced a lot of supplies for the local community. This is where they earned their living. Their house, was quite ornate and proper for a farmer and his family. From the time she could walk, Esme was taught the how to ride horses and learned the finer skills of dressage, a performance, dance like adaptation to horse riding. Her mother tried to raise her to be a proper lady, so that she could marry into a more wealthy family and extend the credibility of her families name. Esme had other plans, she loved nothing more to spend time with her horse, caring for it and looking after the other animals that lived on their property.
Her schooling life consisted of the best private all girls schools, her parents struggling to keep up with their high end lifestyle and only just being able to afford to send her. Full uniform, jacket and knee length skirt, Esme felt like a pint sized present wrapped in a box that was way too large for her. She had her friends, a small group of girls that also felt pressured by their parents to be something they weren't. The majority of the girls that attended the school, were very upper class citizens, there parents had a lot of money, a lot more then Esme and her family would ever dream of, and acted just as snobbish as their parents. Most weekends, after church, Esme would find her self dolled up in lacy, frilly pastel dresses attending social morning teas with her mother. A lot of the girls from school were their sitting at their round tables, tea in hand, pinky fingers stuck out at all angles. Esme didn't really care for tea, she only drank it to fit in, to give her mother some peace of mind.
During 1991, at the age of 16, Esme was more of an adventure seeker then a proper lady. Her days after school were spent exploring, climbing trees and running around the forests surrounding her home. One day whilst climbing up one of the monstrous pine trees which lined the outskirts of their property, Esme fell, breaking her leg. The doctor that assisted the outer areas of the town was busy helping someone else who was in a more dire situation. Esme laid at home on the lounge in pain, her leg throbbing constantly, she couldn't move it and when she tried, the worst pain echoed own the lines of bones which faulted to hold her leg in place. Darkness had hit and her parents decided to drive her into town to the small hospital in Columbus. Waiting in the emergency room, she was engulfed by sounds of pain, agony, crying and constant complaints. All these noises were instantly diminished when her doctor entered the cubicle. His name was Dr Carlisle Cullen, a statue, strong, clearly beautiful. Even as a 16 year old girl, Esme could still fascinate about the beautiful caring docter that looked after her with the up most care. She spent the next couple of months with her leg in a cast however, her follow up appointments were never with Dr Cullen, apparently he had left the area. Shocked by the discover Esme went back to Dr Cullen's practice, after visiting the hospital, to see if it was true. Sure enough his plaque had been removed from the surgery wall. She couldn't help but feel a loss for the man that cared for her so much.
The remainder of her high school years, Esme strayed away from the more lady like happenings in school and in her social life. She never had any interest in dating, she wanted to live her life, move away from home, study at university and become a teacher. Her father did not approve and thought it completely unlady like for a young lady to live alone. Her mother, having different plans, intervened and organized a marriage between Esme and a man from a wealthier family. Charles Evenson had previously discussed with her father the prospects of marrying Esme, but being the strong independent woman she was, wanted to find love her way, as unpredictable as it was intended to be. She didn't not like Charles he was handsome and wealthy, he would ensure her a wonderful life. Esme Anne Platt became Esme Anne Evenson on July 21st 1917. She was 22, a little old for a woman of her time to be marrying but none the less, it was what her mother wanted. She had secured a firm tie to a more wealthy family, ensuring the survival of their family. Esme basically knew nothing of the man, Charles Evenson, sounded charming and wealthy, but behind closed doors, he was a different person.
Every night, or what felt like every night, Charles would find some excuse for him to abuse her, hurt her for her mistakes. Some mornings she would wake up not even being able to move because of the pain inflicted, of course this just enraged Charles more, calling her a useless wife and beating her more. Of course with him being such an abusive husband, Esme never felt like making love to the man. It wasn't really like she had a choice either, Charles helped himself to his wife whenever her had the urge, figuring he was entitled to what he had claimed. Of course it was very abusive sex, using her and leaving her alone for the most of the night. She confided in her mother, confessing the torture that she underwent on a mostly daily basis. Her mothers advice, be strong, be the best wife you can possibly be, keep quiet about the happenings within the new couples home. Her parents knew that if society knew about the trouble, their status would be crushed, leaving them out of the highly privileged lifestyle. They also knew if the pair were to split, they would be back to being simply farmers, surviving on the cusp of middle class and high society. Esme being the good child that she was, listened to her parents and endured her husbands behaviors.
A wave of relieve entered Esme's life in the form of World War One. A most troubled time for everyone, Esme sought comfort in the fact that her husband had been drafted for the Army, leaving her free to live her life. Esme was happy while Charles was gone, she never thought about him and spent a lot of her time cleaning the house, being a real housewife. She even spent sometime out at her parents farm, riding her old horse from when she was little. After the war things went back to normal, if not worse. Charles' experiences at war, infuriated him more and made him more harsh then what he was before. Taking his frustrations and rage out on Esme again, she could do nothing but sink back into the quiet good little wife routine she had practiced time after time.
A short time after Charles returned home, Esme realized that she was pregnant. Rubbing her hand over her slighting enlarged bump, Esme knew she could not stay with Charles any longer. The baby gave her the strength the leave. There was no way in Esme's mind that her beloved child could grow up in the same environment she has had to deal with for the past 4 years. A night, after giving Charles what he wanted, Esme left. She crawled out of bed and tiptoed through the house, the sound of Charles' snore echoing in the distance. She had no where to go, her parents, would not take her in knowing that she had the child would only seem like an excuse. She had no other relatives nearby, thats when she remembered her second cousin who lived in Milwaukee. Esme thought that the more distant the relative, the more distant she could be from her family and her past life. Wandering from town to town, with the cover that she was a war widow, Esme finally arrived at Milwaukee where her cousin gladly took her in. Her cover was soon blown when her wear abouts was somehow discovered by her parents. With no choice but to move, Esme continued her nomadic adventures, almost full term pregnant. This was not the lifestyle she had envisioned but it was a sight better then staying with Charles.
Esme soon found a new home, a small village on the outskirts of Ashland. She had found a job as well, working as a teacher to pay for her new life. She was finally doing what she wanted, what she had dreamed, what she had loved. Although never been to university to learn to become a teacher, Esme had endured a high end high school education and to the small country school, thats all they needed. Esme really enjoyed teaching the younger children. To her it was more then teaching, she was caring for them, molding them and attempting to ensure that they didn't make the same mistakes that her life had lead her to make. Unexpectedly one morning, Esme felt sharp pains which meant only one thing, she was about to give birth. A son William Charlie Platt (she owed atleast the child's middle name to her abusive husband) was born December 22, 1920. She lay in her new small but quaint house, holding the object of her desire. Her new son was all she wanted, all she needed in life. She felt whole, complete, there was nothing she wouldn't do for the warm bundle of joy that was securely cradled in her arms. She left her job at the small town school to care for William, she wanted him to have a good life, absent from all the horrible pressures that were placed on her life.
It was the winter of 1921 which brought Esme the most unpredictable, heart pounding pain she could ever endure. It was a particularly cold winter, snow falling, leaving a thick blanket, like velvet on the outside ground. Esme was constantly gathering firewood, stoking the open fire in the house to keep the interior warm. She knew that William was cold and she bundled him up in layers of warm blankets to ensure his comfort. One cold January morning, Esme woke to cradle her beautiful son as she did as per routine, standing by a window, allowing the warm light to embrace them both. Holding William up to her chest, she knew something was wrong, his breathing was very sporadic, stopping for increasingly long moments. Worried out of her mind, Esme needed to get William to a hospital, the village she lived in had no hospital, the nearest being in Ashland, an almost 20 minute walk. Knowing there was no way that Esme could walk through the cold thick snow to the nearest town and not wanting William to be any more exposed to the cold, She decided to stick it out in her little house. Always ensuring the place was warm, keeping him warm was her biggest priority, she knew that any amount of cold air could instantly damage his already critical condition. As she held him, she tapped his back lightly, William coughed a deep hollow cough, she knew it hurt him. Constantly crying Esme hardly ever slept. Simply sitting by Williams crib side or rocking him, trying to give him some comfort in her rocking chair. That night, William stopped crying, relieved that he may have been feeling some relief after the days of turmoil, Esme drifted off to sleep with him safely captured in her arms, covered in the warmth of the roasting open fire.
Waking the next morning, satisfied with her long sleep, almost feeling guilty that she hadn't attended to William throughout the night, she looked down to snuggle into her gorgeous baby boy. The fire diminished, Williams face was not its usual rosy glow. His face now a pale shade of blue, she held his limp body up to her face. Listening for a heart beat, there was no sign of breathing. Horrified that her inability to care for her son that night may have caused this state of being, Esme ran out of the house, holding her baby closer to her then ever, his lifeless body almost merging with hers. It was barely morning, the sunlight only just peaked over the mountain tops, snow falling lightly but constantly, Esme faltered, kneeling in the snow, screaming for help. Tears streaming from her face, almost freezing on her face from the severe cold, Esme knew it was too late for her little boy. Snow flakes were dancing merrily in the sky, breaking the tone of her mood, she looked up to the sky in complete helplessness. She couldn't help but wonder what had she done to deserve such a tortured life. Until know, William was the one thing, the only thing she needed in her life. Now he was gone and there was nothing keeping her attached the this earth.
Esme ran back to the house, William still cradled in her arms. She placed him back in his cradle and re lit the fire, making the house toasty warm again. Esme darted out of the house, running away once again from a life that didn't want her anymore. She ran as fast as she could, pushing through the thick snow that lay on the ground, her clothes drenched and weighing her down even more, tears still streaming from her face. She still couldn't believe what was happening to her. Running frantically, she found herself running along a cliff ledge. Looking below as she ran, she could see far below her, a deep river that was still flowing. Odd for this time of year considering how cold and how frosted the place had been. It was the middle of winter, but it was a giant river. Esme paused, amazed and inquisitive as to why the river was still flowing? She lent up against the tall, sharp ledge, leaning her torso over looking at the freezing rapids of smoky blue water. Almost hypnotized, Esme stood over looking the ledge, dragging the layers of drenched clothing up with her. She closed her eyes and all she could see was William, his beautiful angelic face looking back at her, his piercing dark brown eyes resonated in her mind like pair of beautiful bronze topaz. The cold wind blowing, snow flakes still falling, Esme let go of everything that was holding her down and floated from the bridge, like an angel down to her icy end.
Intense pain ran through her body, sharp stabbing pains, death was no supposed to feel like this. Death was supposed to be instantaneous, automatic, done. Esme's body encircled by an aura of warmth, she had thought the imagery of fires in hell was true. Her life was quite disastrous and she had imagined her afterlife to be just as grim. Blinking, Esme slowly opened her eyes, it was odd for her, a feeling of displacement, her beautiful child still peering in through her thoughts. Bright fluorescent lights glowing, her eyes still blinking from being gone for so long, Esme looked up to see the beautiful face of a man, familiar to her, someone she had met years ago. He had not changed one inch, the pale face, the chiseled features, the striking blonde hair, Dr Carlisle Cullen, the man she fascinated about when she was a teenager, when she still had dreams and prospects. She now knew she was not in hell but in heaven, he had joined her. A smile resonated on her face as she smiled to welcome her new friend. She felt an instant connection, like where it had left off ten years ago. He cared for her so much back then and now he was doing the same. She loved his caring, nature and wondered if it was just her or all patients. Still in intense pain, Esme laid still simply uttering words to her savior “where, where am I?”. Dr Carlisle told her that she was in Ashland Hospital and had explained her situation to her. She was basically dying, the damage she had done to her body, falling into the icy tomb of water was irreversible, it was a miracle that she had even woken up at that time.
Carlisle spend days by her side. When he was not working he was there, comforting her and ensuring she was alright. He would often read to her, but her mind was absent off in a daze still thinking about her baby boy. His love and compassion for her was welcomed, she had never met a man that cared for her the way Carlisle did. She felt, although in a stationary, basically dead state, she could feel the connection between them, stronger then ever before. One morning, Carlisle whispered into Esme's ear, once again she could not exactly hear the words he spoke, her mind in a dream. All she could make out were four words “It will be alright”. Esme did not know how anything good could come from her situation but she trusted Carlisle. Before she could respond, before she could analyze completely what he meant, violent, ferocious flames ripped through her entire body. The pains that evoked her body previously were nothing compared to what she now felt. Fire taking over her body, powerless to stop it, she could feel her body pulsing and jumping under the extreme tension the pain was putting her through. The last thing she remembers was this pain. Esme blacked out, the fluorescent lights dimmed and her eyes closed. This time there were two images that were circulating her mind, her sons and Carlisles.
Waking, she had no idea where she was, there were no lights, no curtains, no rickety hospital beds. Esme was somewhere else, unknown to her. Sitting up in amazement she felt no pain. Looking around, right beside her sat Carlisle, looking at her with the most pleased look on his face. Instantly Carlisle started explaining what had happened to her through the transformation, the vampire she had become and the world she was now embedded in. It was all so new to Esme, she had no idea that this undercover species lived and now she was a part of it. She instantly gained a new respect for Carlisle and the everlasting bond and compassion she felt for him was now heightened as a vampire. She felt this strong connection a love for her creator. After some time, Esme met Edward, Carlisles vampire companion, he was a beautiful young vampire. The three created what Carlisle called a coven, a family of vampires. Esme never felt the need to hunt humans for food. She felt the most compassion for every living thing. It hurt her to even kill an animal for her own appetite, but she knew she had to to survive.
They lived like a normal family, Esme bonded with Edward claiming to the human population that he was their son. In all aspects Esme too believed he was their son. From time to time she saw glimpses of her real son William but since the transformation, those memories were a blur, only releasing themselves when they wished. Edward was a strong young man just like Carlisle she now understood their relationship. Carlisle and Esme married soon after her transformation, she couldn't help but think that Edward felt more alone now that the two had committed their everlasting life to each other. She knew that Carlisle thought the same. She also knew, that Edward would be able to hear their every thought and was constantly telling them not to worry. Carlisle discussed with Esme the idea of finding Edward a mate. Esme knew the story all too well and knew that Edward would find the one he would love in all good time. Love could not be rushed, but grown, constantly developing.
Years passed and Edward was still alone, he lived with Carlisle and Esme and their little coven. The year was 1933 when Carlisle changed Rosalie, the stunningly beautiful blonde girl. She had been beaten by a group of men including her husband, to the point of death. The familiarity of their storied clouded Esme's mind. Carlisle found her and instantly thought of Edward. Of course, Esme being the kind, loving motherly type she was, gratefully accepted Rosalie and showed her the ways of vampire life. It was like having a daughter, teaching her the necessitates of life. Edward was not as accommodating, as much as he welcomed Rosalie, he didn't feel a connection strong enough to consummate a relationship. Now the couple had two young vampires to care for, both alone, except for the comfort of the family that Carlisle had established. Two years later, another joined the family. Rosalie found Emmett, a tall, sturdy looking young man, in the woods after being attacked by a bear. Rosalie felt an instant connection to the man and wanted to change him to save his life. She felt that in the two short years of her being a vampire, she did not have the strength to ensure his transformation. She dreaded the fact that she may kill him. Carlisle stepped in and transformed Emmett like he had done previously to the other three. Once Emmett woke, he feel deeply in love with Rosalie. He had a hard time conforming to the vegetarian lifestyle Carlisle had implemented for all members of his family, but with the love and support of Rosalie and the family around him, it was easy to overcome.
The family now enlarged and happy, the family moved to Forks, Washington where Carlisle took a job as a doctor at the local hospital, Esme stayed at home, working on the house refining her interior design skills and the children all enrolled in high school, just to keep the charade up. The
The family moved away for years on end, moving from town to city, reestablishing their lives with the same old story to satisfy the humans. Esme never minded, she had a husband one she cared for immensely and would do anything for, and five beautiful, stunning and wonderfully gifted children. She couldn't help but feel a warmth resonate from her ice cold body. After all the traveling that occurred that was one place that Esme loved, the cold, dreary forests of Forks. After a long while they all moved back to Forks. Everyone resuming their lives as they did with every move. A few years passed and Esme had finally had the house remodernized in term of style. She loved to keep up with the latest trends in interior design. Edward had finally met someone, however, this someone was a human. The girls name was Bella. Edward fought with the heartache and the turmoil of the constant pressure to restrain himself for giving into temptation. Esme didn't know exactly what she could do. She felt the most connection with Edward, out of all her children. Maybe it was because he was the one that had been there through it all? Maybe it was because he was the only one without a mate? Whatever the case Esme couldn't sit back and see the ones she loved in pain. Trying to talk to Edward she tried to shed some light on the situation. Finally giving in, Bella joined Edward and Esme welcomed her as part of the family instantly.
With the introduction of Bella, a human, knowing about their world, came a lot of problems. Within their first months of their relationship, Edward and Bella were drawn apart by the sudden appearance of James, a tracker, an his coven in Forks. James was instantly connected with Bella's scent and the hunt began. Esme felt horrible that they had lead Bella into this situation. She would do anything she could to protect her. She was now, even in the small amount of time that she had gotten to know her, part of their family, and as such she loved her. Esme spend most of her time, flanked outside Bella's house, protecting her father. Bella was so worried about his safety that she wouldn't leave without knowing he was safe. Esme knew that this was her task to make sure Bella was safe. She wasn't a strong fighter, she never had been, but her commitment to making sure her loved ones were safe empowered her to fight if the time ever came.
The family suddenly moved away again. Surprised by the sudden move, Edward thought it was the best thing to do in order to keep Bella safe. Their vampire lifestyle was too unpredictable unsafe for her. Esme instantly knew the reasoning behind Edwards decision, if anything was ever to happen to Carlisle, she couldn't even think of the situation, she would do anything to stop it from happening. Within time Esme knew that Edward would see that he could not live without her and return back to Forks. The Voulturi now knew of Bella and Edward's relationship and knew that it was forbidden. Esme knew that Bella would need to become one of them in order to remain being with Edward. Bella was now her daughter, her human daughter, but she just wanted to see her and Edward happy. She could never imagine the two being separated. She would stand by them, fight for the couple and their family, even if it meant death, she had been there before and she was not afraid of it now.

RPSAMPLE: Esme paced back and forth in her immaculately clean bedroom, she had spent the night alone, her Carlisle had gone 'camping' with the boys out in the forest hunting and competing for the biggest prize no doubt. She giggled merrily, interrupting her serious thoughts, when she imagined Emmet and Edward and Jasper, all trying to find the biggest dear, mountain lion, if not a bear and comparing afterwards. She loved her boys dearly, the way they acted, who they were and the fact that they were part of her. The immense love that the Cullen family supplied was a constant flow, but Esme couldn't help but one day want a family of her own, to hold someone who was her own flesh and blood. She was scared from her past experiences, she loved her past child more then anything in the world, more then the oxygen that used to fill her lungs, but even that couldn't stop fate from taking him from her. She fell backwards onto the neatly made pristine bed she shared with her husband as Esme stewed back into the thoughts that had been bothering her for a few days.
Bella was unhappy and if there was anything she hated more then herself being unhappy, it was her family being unhappy. It tore Esme up on the inside, to know how her family were feeling, what they were feeling, and have no control over the situation. Bella joined the beautiful family effortlessly, she fitted in perfectly, but every amalgamation had its own readjustments. Some members of the family were not as welcoming to Bella as others, Esme knew it and it was her responsibility to ensure they stayed in line. Bella was one of them now, she was married to Edward and it was about time everyone got used to it. They would never part, like the other pairs in the family, they were soul mates. Esme's lifeless heart couldn't help but sense the warmth that was radiating from her thoughts. Bella completed Edward, with her, he was a different person. He was not just a lifeless mold moving around the world and just getting by. No, with Bella he was Edward Cullen, his true personality shone when she was his. The couple had experienced so much in their short life together. Bella had been changed, then, they were humans again. It only seemed like yesterday Bella had been changed and now they live the rest of their married life as humans, thanks to the wrath of the horrible virus that spread throughout Forks, leaving those immortal, not so.
Esme closed her eyes and began to focus on the task at hand. Bella and her had spent the last few days at home, watching EJ and trying to find ways to secure Aurora's safety. Esme still blamed herself for letting the beautiful child leave her sight at the hospital. She was the only family member there, she experienced the whole birth, except the actual birth. After all this time, being with Carlisle and building herself strong she still didn't trust herself around human blood. It was too easy to slip and lose her mind in the frenzy caused by just smelling the aroma. It scared her to no end, what she could be capable of. Although she was restrained, although she knew she could withstand, she tried to eliminate every possibility of any such occurrence from happening. That why she was so confused now. Her time alone with Bella had given the couple a lot of time to talk, seriously talk. Esme loved nothing more then getting to the heart of each one of her children and now Bella was one of her children. She would join the ranks of the others, line up in her amazing lineup of adopted offspring.
Bella did not want to be human anymore, the thought alerted her mind and whisked around stirringly. Startled, Esme opened her eyes, like she was in the middle of a bad dream. She was no happy, she disliked being mortal and so weak, so dependent, so vulnerable. After all, she was so determined in the first place to be changed, to turn into one of them, become a vampire in the Cullen family tree. She was never afraid and accept their differences with a stern front. Unsure if the child had expressed her emotions to Edward, or to anyone for that matter, Esme held Bella's thoughts with the most upfront of secrecy. Esme had wished she could help the poor child but she never dared go behind her eldest son's back. His scorn would be more torturous to her then any malicious attack she could think of. By making Bella happy, she was no doubt making Edward unhappy. The effects of her intended actions seemed to twirl around in a continuous circle. If she changed Bella back to a vampire herself, what would Carlisle think, would he be impressed or startled or furious? Uncertainty plagued her and it was making her mind bubble over with enormous amounts of annoying thoughts.
It wasn't until Bella outright asked Esme if she could turn her that her certain world was turned on its head. Amazed and shocked at Bella's decision, when she reminisced about the encounter it made sense. She loved Bella, obviously not as much as Edward, but her love was a different type of love and like Edward's, hers could not be compared to. She was a Cullen, Cullen's were vampires, it made sense to turn her back to being one of them. Did Esme have the restraint to pull away like her faithful husband had done so many times before in order to create their failsafe family? She was scared, this time she was alone, it was all up to her. She hoped Bella would come to understand if she rejected her offer, it was for her own safety after all. She was thankful that the majority of the family was out, occupied. Esme pondered the thought of actually turning Bella. As insane as it was, all she wanted was for her newest daughter to be happy. There would have to be someone to watch after EJ, ensure his safety, Bella would need to be somewhere were others would not find her, or at least turn her when no one was home and deal with the consequences later, would Bella want to experience all of the feelings, the searing, burning and intense pain associated. She hoped that Bella wouldn't run to her right now, her mind was split straight down the middle, she didn't know what to do and she was in the most irritable of states. She was grateful the others were gone, Carlisle would sense instantly that something was wrong with Esme, he could tell just from her actions, Edward would definitely interrupt her brain space, Alice would see the future and all her plans would be gone.
Now would be the ultimate time to help the poor child out, Alice and Rosalie had taken off somewhere, hopefully overseas for some shopping. The house was quiet and they were the only two occupants. Bella would be safe in the guest bedroom, away from all distractions but then again, she may feel comfortable in their own room. All possibilities started streaming Esme's mind, her eyes dragged heavily as she weighed the decision, the good, the bad and the result. She knew she wanted to help Bella, but was the turmoil of the rest of the family worth it? That she would have to wait and see. For now, she would go and see where her beloved daughter was. It was still early and she doubted if the girl had woken. It was common place for Esme to check on Bella throughout the night, there was only so much to do in a house, no matter what the size. After all that Bella had been through, she knew the nightmares would be stirring her mind graphically. Hopefully tonight gave her a little bit of relief and she was finally able to muster at least a few hours of continuous sleep.
Gliding down the hallway, past the line of empty bedrooms and Carlisle's study, Esme finally came to the platform at the top of the flight of stairs that lead to Bella and Edwards room. Drifting over quietly, Esme popped her head in around the door, to see Bella sound asleep in the bed, clutching the blankets as she wafted in peaceful slumber. The sun rays peering in through the clouds, through the window, specks of light dancing on the covers and then reflecting up onto the bookcases. Esme sighed as she watched Bella stir slightly, wondering if she should leave in case to wake her. As long as Bella slept, no decision had to be made, nothing was final and no one had to get hurt.
