 Much like the Volturi, the Jenali view their reign over Africa as a monarchy instead of being a simple coven. The monarchy is very old, and though Jenali is on the top, the system is hardly a period. As much as the coven is a monarchy, it is also partially a democracy; all members are allow to weigh in on their decisions with an equal voice, even the Jester of the court. The coven has been hand picked by Jenali, though most don't know this. They were chosen for their kindness and understanding as well as their abilities. Also like the Volturi, the heads of the coven are very old. They are not quite as old as Aro had been, but they're older than a majority of the other vampires in the other covens; however, they met with Nero Metellus of the Amsel coven to get their devotion to the peace and believe that the other covens are very old so they will never uprise against the twins or the worldly powers. Also unlike most of the other covens, they are a completely vegetarian organization. Jenali believes that there is enough things in the war torn Africa killing people and there is a surpluss of animals so they have been commanded to drink the blood of animals as opposed to human. Masozi, despite being the queen, has no power to speak of; the only power she credits to herself is being an excellent mother to her two sons Faraji and Sefu. She believes that she has a motherly touch with all of her people, which is firm but loving.

* Born into a betrothal, Masozi was practically made for her husband. She counters him in almost every way, including struggling with her vegetarianism while he is very strong in his nature. Despite her struggles she still changed EKUNDAYO; then swore to never try again
* Masozi is known for throwing extravagant balls and inviting as many vampires as she possibly can that reside in Africa
* She was with Jenali when he met Zaramama and remembers that she was very pleasant to them, apparently in a good mood that day, and that their challenge was to bring a live lion to her.

* Once talked himself out of being caught and sold to slavery by pointing out the flaws in his body and countering the arguments for his best features. He did however, throw another man under the bus in order to be safe

* Has only been beaten in combat once; by Jenali
* Conflicts with Jenali on many issues because they are both powerful leaders, but will battle to the death to protect his king's honor

* When human, ironically, she was a doctor who tried to treat those who were poisoned
