Dear Diary,
I remember the days when Mystic Falls was normal, well as normal as normal gets. Now there are bodies being found in the woods or the creek. It saddens me because I know the truth of why those bodies lie their buried. Sometimes I just wish everything would go back to the good old days. What I mean is, Caroline human, Bonnie a normal teenage girl, my brother not knowing the stuff I do, oh and let’s not forget Stefan when I didn’t even know he was a vampire. However, that’s never going to change. I’m being hunted down by an ancient vampire who wants to kill me because he believes it can help his kind walk in daylight again. Even though I know for a fact I’ll be protected by my loved ones but did it ever occur to them that I don’t want to be protected. Did they ever once think that maybe, just maybe, I wanted to do the protecting. Of course not I’m the one that has to be saved. I have to sit back watching my friends get torn into pieces. Oh did I forget to mention there’s werewolves involved too. They aren’t the nicest of creators from what I heard. One bite could get a vampire or vise verse.
Everything just keeps falling apart! What am I suppose to do? I know one thing I’m not going to sit back and pretend everything is ok. I’ve told Stefan that too but he just ignores me. It’s time to take matters in my own hands. I refuse to let anyone get hurt because of me. I don’t care how many times I have to say it. Who knows if I’ll be alive in the future? I know one thing, my friends and family will be safe. Stefan and Damon can live their lives safely without me.
Vampires are real. Werewolves are real. Witches and warlocks are real, and they're all in Mystic Falls, Virginia. In fact they're mostly living in the life of Elena Gilbert, who happens to be a very important piece in breaking the Vampire curse. With the most powerful vampire in all of time coming to claim her, Damon and Stefan are considering the one thing they never wanted to consider: a truce with werewolves. Of course, Elena being Elena, she doesn't want anyone to put themselves in danger to save her, but with the new deal she's made with Elijah, there seems to be a bit of hope. Along with that, Rose is suffering from a werewolf bite which Damon is determined to fix. Oh yeah, Caroline and Tyler growing closer than ever, and since he had gone through his first transformation, things seem to be easier for him. Katherine remains in the tomb after being compelled by Elijah to remain in there. There's never a dull moment in Mystic Falls or at Forbidden Kiss.
